Just seen this on the BBC website, a super story and a Yorkie with real taste - his goalkeeping hero is James McKeown!!  His dad says:

“Despite the attention from some of the world's finest goalkeepers there were only two players Grimsby Town supporter Harrison wanted to hear from, said his dad.
He said: "I was telling him there were thousands of people talking about him on Twitter, including players, but there were only two players he was interested in, [Grimsby Town's] James McKeown, and Mo Salah.
"I suppose I thought it would be nice to get a few message from people, but I've been overwhelmed with the response."

So as I don’t do Twitter - anyone that does and contact Macca, please send this his way.

I will speak to someone at the club, to see if the club something for the lad, invite him over to a home game and met up with James would be a nice gesture.

I'm sure our SLO has already arranged said visit.

I’m sure he will do. It just takes a while waiting for J F to approve them  ;)

I've completely forgotten who our SLO is, but i still remember Kristine. Her removal was just one of a series of totally baffling, stupid decisions made by the club last season. Guess she had too much to say for herself, and couldn't be controlled.

That says it all doesn't it. Our Esteemed (but Happily Silent) Leader has the Anti-Midas Touch.

James did tweet him the other day, pretty sure he retweeted it as I've definitely seen this on Twitter (thumbup2)

He did indeed. Given this is currently the most read story on the BBC it would be an absolute travesty if the club didn't take advantage of the easiest piece of PR they'll do this decade...

But not at all surprising.

One of the great things about this story is, if James ever wondered why he signed on again with Town, for less money than he was offered at Motherwell (was it?), then this is a reminder.

Get him as mascot and let him walk out with Macca. Costs the club nothing and gets a lot of attention and that dreaded initials 'PR'

I'm sure Macca will have done/will do something as he's very approachable and a genuinely nice bloke.

I remember seeing Ray Clemence let in 7 against Town and their winger was none other than Kevin Keegan!!!

Think that'll be the one and only time we will see Mckeown and Mo salah spoken in the same sentence.

Unless we get Liverpool in the FA Cup like we did in the past  ;)

Well the club got round to it in the end. Maybe the Fishy does still run GTFC after all!
