Just out of interest I ran the Just Back thread on each game through sentiment analysis. This is where the text is analysed to see whether it is overall positive or negative. In every case (on the Fishy at least) so far it has been negative, even the game we won! However Lincoln was the best yet.

FGR 93% negative
Macc 63% negative
Dale 78% negative
Lincoln 61% negative

This is the tool I used: https://www.uclassify.com/browse/uclassify/sentiment?input=Url

All I can say is I felt apprehensive before the Lincoln game and positive after and posted so.

Can't open that and have no wish to.  So I'm actually guessing this.  But if I was to say about Sat

Town played better than I expected and were unlucky not to win. I have more confidence for this season now.  I also thought that  Lincoln were poor, I can't see them doing as well as they thought.  Cowleys were as annoying as ever and their support was pathetic for the amount they brought.

I'm guessing your equipment would say that was a negative post ?? Which in GTFC terms clearly wasn't

Or I am not understanding how it works ??

Presumably if I posted that the ref was poor and made an awful decision it would class that as negative as well?

Probably results caused by factoring in opinions before and after the game, most on here never see us as easy victors pre kick off due to the Slade/Bignot nightmare

Can't see before being factored in mate.  It's done on the 'just back' threads !

Probably it just looks at the words used and sees whether you are expressing positive or negative sentiments. It has no concept of what the words mean.

That cannot be very representative of the game or the team. Most of the negativity will have been about Lincoln, the Cowleys and the Ref.

Since its The Fishy instead of positive and negative can't we have "The sun shines out of MJ's bottom" and "Total Meltdown"? (With nothing in between)

I reckon there's a few other tools on this board that think they'd give a more accurate reading.  :)

The phrase 'unlucky not to have won', I'd say, is positive in the context of the Lincoln game.

The tool, however, probably looks at 'unlucky' and 'not' and sees these as negative words.

Tools like this have no sense of sarcasm either, so the phrase 'The ref showed he was a world class idiot. Yeah, thanks loads, Boyeson' would probably be seen as positive.

Can someone try putting Ipswin's posts through this tool?

The text algorithm doesn't factor context so it would be difficult to determine whether a fishy is positive or negative.

I won't help as I'm an arsey sodomist when we don't win. I'm going to try and be more positive as even
