Hooper's got a lot to prove to me for a regular place in the starting line up over Vernam..

Reckon that's a 451/433 featuring a Pulis-esque 4 centre backs. If so, pleased to see Clifton in the middle.

Famewo should add a bit of pace to the back line - providing it isn't wing-backs!

My guess is 4-3-3 though this would put Woolford in as one of the forwards which is a surprise.

You've got to give it to Lincoln, yes they've splashed the cash, but that's a formidable team for this level.

More likely 4-5-1 with Hooper and Clifton out wide, Wooly, Hess and Welsh in the middle and Cook up front by himself. Famewo and Davis at full back.

Very lopsided with forwards, but with Fox, Hall-Johnson and Mitch out that’s probably why. Plus 4 centre backs on the field.

Hopefully Hooper given 45 minutes to pull his finger out or he's replaced by one of the options on the bench. Vernam must figure at some point, seems a match made for him.

Puzzled with how Vernam hasn't started at all this season. All credit to JJ as he’s a considerable amount better than he was under Slade but I’m not overly sure myself how he warrants starting at the moment.

It would be very harsh to drop him after he played well in our last league game. The side looks as good as it could be really, lets just see if we can pull out a result.

I reckon at 3pm, this forum will be on meltdown, Hope im proved wrong. Come on Town, play for the shirt and sink the Imps

Clearly gone for height in the side which is sensible given Lincoln's style of "play"!

Would prefer Vernam to be in the starting XI, it must be a fitness thing surely otherwise he'd be one of the first names on the team sheet

Poor decision, but think Collins should've just stood up, always risky going for the header there v Akinde.

Come on Town. It sounds like we totally deserve a win here...  a second goal for the mariners in the 90th minute would be tremendous.

Well I’d have taken the result before kick off and sounds like we played well so well done to all.

Gutted that Akinde Pen has bought one again. Some people are calling Collins naive, sorry, I disagree, imo the ref is naive for not seeing that akinde purposely backs into Collins therefore denying him the opportunity to go for the ball and then just falls over when contact made. It wa done on purpose to try and con the ref ie cheating, and akinde is the master of it. If anything it was obstruction by akinde.

Still, hope to read some positive comments later.

Shame on the result, but plenty to be pleased with on the performance, improved with every league game probably, bettered a team thats supposed to be flying who had brought a large away crowd. Were playing nice football, creating opportunities in open play, and probably not miles behind any other teams in the league. All the signs are good, could be an interesting season :)

Good days work you have to say, played well and for each other, 2 new players, lots of options to choose now. Points on the board and confidence builds.  UTFM

Taking the positives we more than matched the favourites for the title and they had to blatantly cheat to get anything from the game! Roll on next game UTM

I'm not sure what people think Collins should have done. Let him bring in down in the box, give him a free header? Just think it's an awful decision.

A refereeing error more than an error from Collins. Akinde was concentrating on holding him off then went down like a sack of shite as soon as he felt some pressure.

Very disappointing not to take all three points as we deserved them. Just didn't get the roll of the ball when we had them under the cosh for large periods of the second half. I lost count of the number of panicked clearances they made which somehow fell safe or went straight to their player. That said, a little bit more quality from us would have seen more goals.

Excellent performance from Famewo after a slightly shaky start. The extra pace and athleticism he added was very important. I don't think anybody had a bad game today and I'd give MotM to either Woolford or Hessenthaler who both covered miles and were a threat with the ball at their feet.

Not at all impressed with the Lincolnshire Galacticos, despite their vast expenditure.

Robbed, no other word for it. Woolford man of the match man played out of his skin.  Not completely convinced by Famewo, some times looked strong sometimes got nocked over by that stick thin no.11. Wes looks strong and a good replacement for Hooper and pushing Cook out wide.

I would never accuse Town of doing anything dodgy, but if you believe today’s attendance then there were 400 less Town fans there today than for the game against FGR.

some of our corner routines was very clever today deserved the win and we are a point of better this time last season.
