It’s so obvious the money has gone a blind man could see it.
But not the happy clappers of course.

Christ, that would be one hell of a convoluted ruse, involving 2 different teams. Really?

The only bit I agree with is where you say pathetic

Blah blah blah. Doesn't make any difference.

IT's obvious we had no intent on spending money. £0 spent

So you're saying we bid 6 figure sums for players we knew wouldn't sign just to prove to fans we are trying to spend money?

You don't honestly believe that surely!!

You have a vivid imagination I'll give you that!!

Normal service resumed, we haven’t spent money so blame Fenty!

Now I disagree with Fenty on an awful lot of things (more than I agree with) but this year I haven’t had the impression the money’s not there to spend, within reason.

Hessenthaler, Welsh, Cook and Davies have all come from clubs you could argue are paying more in wages  (especially Welsh and Hessenthaler who were Championship and League 1 players last year respectively).

Players have also been given longer contracts (macca) which shows a more of a commitment financially and to build something more long term.

We’ve offered money for players which hasn’t come off for one reason or another. The logic would then be just to buy someone to prove a point? If the managerial staff don’t want to buy someone then that’s down to them it’s their budget to spend how they see fit.

I’m sure we’d be up in arms if John decided to just go out and buy players himself!

Don’t forget we’ve got three weeks to bring in a couple on loan and paying a percentage of a good players wage can be just as expensive.

Let’s see what happens.

Well at least we haven't wasted money on shite panic buys who are as bad or worse than the rubbish strike force we've already got. Just keep scoring the penalties Mitch.

I'm not going to go into detail but I'm led to believe that JF isn't always the board member who gets involved in brokering deals. I'm not his biggest fan but I'm not sure that some of the others are as adept at selling the club/area to prospective signings. Let's face it, he has been doing it for some time!  :)

I’m sure if we had Ipswin you’d be the first to be having a pop that we had.

Must be a great feeling to always be right pal👍

The Dembele money isn't that much when you take into account wages. He would have been on low wages as a young pro. At least we haven't got a squad of dead wood, every fit player is going to earn his wages this season.

All the money that comes in and goes out will be in the accounts,

So I will wait and see what happens to the Dembele money

John Fenty taking it is not what I think has happened,

It is still in the budget for Jolley to use when he can.

As in the 2 pence it cost me for the water to boil my own head in. 2 Pence more than what GTFC spent on new players  ::)

So wages, agents fess, signing on fees don't class as spending money on players?

You're either a troll or utterly clueless!

Jolley can't win here. He doesn't sign a striker and the transfer window has been a disaster and Fenty is pinching pennies. If he signed a striker in a panic and he only when on to score once in 2 years, everyone would be criticising.

The loan window can be used to sign someone on a permanent from January and we can still sign free agents.

Good things come to those who wait.

We have put bids in for players that have either been rejected or accepted nothing more you can do really.

If players don't want to come, Wilko experienced in the game got us the players he could last season that weren't great.

I'm not a Fenty bashing fan, but under his reign all we have had is Free Transfers and the Loans, I was sick of it years ago.

As club and a fan I have realised at National League level where a big fish to get decent players, but League 2 where not.

Well of course I would and you should too in fact everyone should if money is wasted.

W've only got so much to spend and I've lost count of the number of times we've brought players in haste.

Even if they're on a free (because no one else would touch them with a bargepole) there's still wages to pay
