So what’s everyone’s opinion on any transfer activity this week? With MJ still in the market are we likely to see anyone through the door by the weekend ? (Koiki or another forward perhaps?) or do you think the squad is set now for the first few games? Exciting times regardless!

Am I right in thinking the window stays open until the end of August?

EFL clubs voted through proposals that will see the EFL transfer window close after the opening game of the league season on Thursday August 9, 2018 at 5pm.

Clubs will still be able to register players who ceased to be registered with a club during the period up until August 31, 2018.

Players can also be transferred out to a club in any league whose window is still open.

My understanding is that we are still after a forward hopefully to sign asap and another centre-back to sign from abroad in the January window.

Has there actually been any update on Koiki since he left or is it just presumptions?

in a interview after one of the pre season games when talking about koiki it sounded as if there stumbling blocks but he quickly changed the subject to something else, hopefuly he will come here would be a decent addition if he does

EFL clubs will still be able to make loan signings until 31st August. So in reality the window isn’t shut on August 9th as any “permenant” signings after August 10th can be a loan signing until 1st January and then become permenant

I like the fact that we have a smaller squad without any obvious passengers but also with the new rules on loans, we are very vulnerable to getting a load of injuries.  My guess is that there will be 1-2 loan signings and no more permanent ones.

I suppose the thing with Koiki is that we've already got Fox and Dixon as left fullback/wingbacks.  Also Max Wright who I'm guessing is providing cover on both flanks.  When Jolley has answered questions on this I think by reading in between the lines it's a case of needing to get rid of someone first.  Considering he's given new deals to Fox and Wright, I can only presume it's Dixon he's trying to offload.

I think we've more than enough depth to see us through to November at least. Get the impression Jolley is banking on bringing over a couple of Swedish players then.

We're in pretty good shape regardless. Christ, I'm much happier with the current set up than I was with the 348 players we had under S*a*e.

Don't think he can bring anyone in during November? Other than players who have been free agents since before next week.?
