Just wondering what people think the team will be tonight?

I'm guessing it will be highly made up of youth considering the 1st team only played last night.

Were there players that only played 20/30 minutes against Sunderland that may feature?

A. Rose, Hall-Johnson, Russell, Davis, Dixon, Hessenthaler, Robles, Trialist, Trialist

they're the players that came on around 60ish...

max wright came on with maybe 10 to go?

I plan on going down anyway just to see some football but i hope to see a few of the names mentioned here play.

My understanding is it will be mainly juniors with the possibility last night's two trialists may play as well.

Being an official FA competition I would doubt trialists will be able to play, only fully registered players??

Hence the ? marks, I didn't think it would be allowed.

Maybe he isn't but we don't want to have extra games so playing him on purpose😁

Losing to Cleethorpes twice in the space of a few weeks is quite something.

You guys do realise it was our youth team playing tonight, yes?

Lincoln United beat Boston United tonight and will play Clee Town in the semi's.

Yep. Just saying.

We were the better side for the majority of the game. Saunders and Battersby did not play well though, hence the 3 goals. Flanagan held the midfield well imo. Stand out players for me were Wright, Buckley and Pollock. Burrell looked dangerous when he came on. Referee let a lot of poor challenges go, especially on Wright.
The other Trialist didn’t play. Barton up next for the Youth team and any trialists on Monday.

So have we, though it was against Norwich, Sheffield Weds and Hull.

Blackburn for probably number four on Sunday.

Not sure our whole pre-season revolves around the youth team playing Clee.

Not saying it does. The first team squad lost to them too a week or two ago. I'm not really saying anything beyond that - just noting a factual pair of events as interesting.

Perhaps you should consider last pre-season's results and the seven or eight months that followed?

Why should I? Because you say..?
I'm not saying anything beyond the bare observation of two defeats of a professional football league club to a part time non league neighbour. I thought it was interesting. I'm not predicting the coming season or evaluating the last in the context of pre season games.

I thought Flanagan has looked OK in both games, always wanting the ball and good at laying it off.

Whether MJ thinks he is good enough remains to be seen.

Fair enough guess all down to opinions didn't see enough last night to think he's better than what we already have.. time will tell

Was Jolley 'managing' the team last night or was it Woods or Limbrick?

Anyone who went notice?

I get what you're trying to say chaos, but our Youth Team also beat Norwich YT 1-0 at the weekend. So if we're counting last night as a result for Grimsby Town, do we count that one?  ;)

We were somehow sniffing around playoffs at Christmas. We kinda fell away after that so i don't think that's a fair assessment on your part.

All about getting fit and trying out players and methods, nice to win but means nothing.
