Blimey, what a list. Pringle looked very good before he was maimed, but 139 minutes really isn't enough to award a title as prestigious as this. I'll go for Pittman too.

(Did we have no 18's between 2003 and 2009?)

Would have been Pringle no doubt, had he not been assaulted. Pittman the pick of the rest.

That's such an awful list we should leave number 18 blank
Posted by: chaos33, July 10, 2018, 2:39pm; Reply: 7
Yep. I think we should just pretend we've never had 18's.

I don't believe we should leave 18 blank or pretend we've never had one as that would be an insult in the memory of Martin Pringle.

Although only a fleeting appearance in a Town shirt before being disgracefully assaulted by Dave Challinor, he  was the best footballer out of that lot and could have gone on to show us far more of his talent if it hadn't been for that cowardly twit.

I can still recall hearing the snap at the top of The Findus Stand. Sickening.

Ta. I'm guessing they all moved on to other numbers in later years (I think that's Rob's system)

Edit: I remember Bore wearing 2 in his last season with us,

Yeah Bore wore 2 after converting to a right-back and Rob Jones possibly wore a different number in his second season with us.

I'm sure, without looking, that Hockless and Toner (i think) only wore 18 though.

I'll go for Pittman, real shame we never got to see more of Pringle though.

Adam Buckley as the manager of the best team of the Fishy era would have to be Alan Buckley therefore his son would have to be in the squad as per Alan Buckleys law.

Thanoj. Got to have an international in there (and Pringle only played under two games worth)  ;)

It's not Pringle's fault he played so little for us so I will go for him.

Hockless and Jones had 12 between 04-06 and Toner had 10 between 06-08, according to my source*

The memory of the fleeting glimpses of skill he showed until he was maimed.

I did set a precedent with McKeown at No. 13 (his old number) so we could put Rob Jones as 18 as I believe he got a few votes as No. 12 and I thought he was a class player in his second season.

Nice one, I'll change my vote to the stick then!

Ok if the rules are changing then I'm changing my vote from Pittman to Rob Jones for was a collosos in his second season.

In that case Rob Jones.

Rob Jones for me too.

Didn't Rob Jones wear number 18 in the season he was excrement though?  ;D
Posted by: Tommy, July 10, 2018, 4:56pm; Reply: 27
Yep. Probably still puts him ahead of most of those others in the list though  ;)

Rob Jones then.

Pringle was a superb player, probably didn't deserve to be loaned out at the time (although you never know what goes on behind closed doors), and absolutely set about proving that here.

I believe he would have been one of the finest ever players I have seen at BP, likely even better than Super Clive, if it wasn't for that snakey cheating illegitimate ruining his career.

I think I will vote for Martin Pringle 🤔

I think he was coming back from injury, hadn't played in over a year IIRC.

Jones, was part of the side that beat Spurs - great night

Plus he got as high as the Championship at one stage didn't he?

Loved Pittman, but his penalty is probably still coming down...
