Just released by the club,

JJ Hooper given number 9.

Is 12 still reserved for us lot?

I'd have thought Harry Davis would be number 5...unlrss he requested no.24.

He had 24 at St Mirren, so I'm guessing he requested it.

JJ was 9 last season so not a big surprise?

Not sure about Whitehouse at 10, he is not a no 10 type player is he?  I know it doesn't really matter but I do like traditional squad numbering.

Paul Dixon at number 3? I thought it would be Andrew Fox.

I doubt it, Mills had 12 last season.

Well Dixon was here first so I assume he gets first choice.

Should copy the argies in the seventies.

The numbers were given out in alphabetical order.

Ossie Ardiles wore number one!

Cooking having no. 11 would suggest to me he's going to have a similar role to Hooper had last season, out on the wing when we're defending but given the freedom to cut in when attacking and playing more as a striker

Cook said in his interview that he's been played all over in wide forward positions and in midfield during his career but that Jolley was bringing him in to play as a centre forward.

I really wouldn't try to read anything into these squad numbers guys, they're of little relevance.

That suggests to me that there will be another 5/6 signings.

I predict:
5: Centre Half
12: Right Back
13: Goalkeeper
18: Striker
23 & 24: Youngsters/Squad Players

Wish we’d had squad numbers in my playing days.
Then that Number 12 Shirt so often mine would not have been so hurtful ☹️

We've got no wingers

I feel your pain. I was always given the number 13 shirt, but that was when you were only allowed 1 sub :-/

Well, Wright aside. Doesn't matter if you're not planning to play with wingers.

Still think we'll see a front 3 this season. I've just got a feeling in my water.

The Club should leave 12 blank and get fans buying the shirt to have 12 on the back to symbolize 12th man. Were going up and the fans will play a big part in the forth coming success.I think Town will be the League 2 surprise package just need to fill a few squad places and possibly get in a goal scorer?

I`m just basing it on League 2 has been crap since we came back up it`s a poor standard IMHO and someone organised like MJ should be capable of picking holes in a lot of team`s.Trust me were nailed on for the Play Offs minimum this time round the only thing that can derail us is our board and whatever gargantuan intercourse up they chuck in the way this time round.

PMSL? You're easily pleased. Just looks to me like some guy sneering at fellow Town supporters for being positive.

Couldnt agree more! Cod Almighty seem to sneer and look down their nose at other Town fans especially those who still live locally

Generally I like CA but some of the stuff on there makes the contributors look up themselves from time to time. That specific article misses the target, but I kind of get the general thrust. Then there’s the occasional diary entry which tells you how you should and shouldn’t be a supporter.
