I thought he had taken early retirement just before Cambridge scored at their place

I'm not a fan of any religion, all twaddle IMO. That's all he went on about on his Twitter until he banned me (for daring to give him credit for his defending and the teams performance when he was claiming Allah had granted him a clean sheet). What a buffoon he is.

Did we even keep a clean sheet when he played? I think on average we conceded over 2 goals a game when he was playing and I remember when he couldn't get a game early on there was loads of fans calling for him to play, very poor defender and there's a reason why he hasn't played much over the years.

Osborne always reminded me of Nick Bollettieri's maxim about the difference between those who are "playing to win" and the others who are "praying to win". As someone else noticed, it didn't help him at Cambridge last year. I can see him ending up at Hanwell Town or Hayes and Yeading on that performance.

Firstly, Muslims are black, white and anything in between. Islam is an ideology (and yes, it is a particularly barbaric one IMO), but they are not a race.

Secondly, I am not sure he even is Muslim. He talks of God, which particular Sky God, I am not sure. All such views are equally ridiculous in my opinion. I have the same freedom to express my faith in atheism without being blocked presumably?

Thirdly, throwing casual claims of racism around is unfair and unpleasant. Especially groundless ones. Still, I suppose you hide behind a pseudonym.

I wasn't berating anyone. In fact, quiet the opposite. I was praising him for a rare solid performance. I did suggest he took more personal credit than lying all the praise at the feet of his sky god in whichever form he believed it to be in. He blocked me shortly afterwards.

Anyway, he's gone now. And will be forgotten very quickly.

An easy label to accuse somebody of being and think it's unfounded. As previously mentioned Islam is not a race of people, it's a religion so has nothing to do with racism at all. If anybody is comforted by religion then fine, if not it's all about who's got the best imaginary friend. I find it ridiculous that any football fan this day and age is racist and a sad state of affairs. Probably every squad at a football club in the land has black/ethnic players in it. Any player that pulls on a black and white shirt for the Mariners and gives their all is good enough for me, colour or religion is irrelevant as long as you're a decent human being.

UTM!

I'm probably a bit leftish on the old swingometer but definitely don't do religion.... unless you can call supporting Town a religion   :)

Utter twaddle, I think the fact that Islam is an ideology, and not a race is a bloody good argument that it isn't a racist slur! When you have the tools to get into a debate with me, come back and have a go.

And yes, I am a fan of Tommy Robinson. Only mentioning it as you asked, I wouldn't usually bring it into a football forum. However, you did. I respect people hold different opinions and I respect those opinions although I may not agree with them. The hard left, whether you class yourself as one of them do not tend to respect differing opinion in my experience, instead they shout down others and casually throw the race card around, again I emphasise Muslims are no more a 'race' than Christians. I don't like their ideology, I believe it to be a threat to the western world, I do not want Sharia law in the UK, I do not want Muslim rape gangs targeting our children in their thousands, I do not want female genital mutilation, beheadings, gays being thrown off buildings thank you very much. I did not or would not have mentioned any of the above to any of our players.

From what I remember of a rather unimportant exchange, I believe I congratulated the player on his performance, the clean sheet and a fine win. I did suggest he gave himself and his team mates more credit, rather than thanking his god which may or may not be Allah, he might be a Christian for all I know.

That's all, very minor and I'm not really bothered about twerps like you trying to demonise me. I've more important things to concern myself with.

What would be your opinion on atheists knocking on religious people's doors trying to explain to them why they shouldn't believe in god?

Just wondering, because I'm all for freedom of speech and agree with most of what you've said, but they can fu(k right off singling people out and trying to convert them to their way of thinking. It's not okay when religious people do it, and it's not ok when non-religious people do it.

As for Osborne, it's a shame that he didn't produce it on the pitch. I hear he did a lot around the community, worked hard and was a nice chap. Good luck to him

I don't mind them to be honest....if they want to spread the word then that's their prerogative

If they come around wanting to talk about their beliefs though, it's my right to do my best to counter their arguments with beliefs of my own

I take pride in having a couple of women trying to "convert" me excuse themselves and say they couldn't spare any more time to discuss their faith as they had to go off elsewhere

Come on mate, at least try and be fair. No need to tar me with the 'racism' brush with complete untruths. Strangely enough, although I've been to the majority of grounds in the league, I've never been to Gillingham, the ground or the place. I have no idea of 'infestation' levels - I really shouldn't even respond to this but it's out of order. And Podge would probably more appropriate than my name 'Padge' nowadays.

You could have messaged me if you wanted before making this sweeping and groundless accusation, really poor form.
