3-0 game more than over! What a way to stick two fingers up at those players that have bullied Lingard all game

Pleased for Lingard, they seem to have picked him out for some rough treatment.

4-0 .......I think we might declare at HT   :)

Could we be peaking a little too soon?
I’ve been accused of that myself in the past.....

penalty lmao
Posted by: jaygy, June 24, 2018, 1:47pm; Reply: 9
Wow! How can panama argue any of these decisions, they’ve tried bullying us out of it and failed. 5-0 wow just wow
Posted by: jaygy, June 24, 2018, 1:47pm; Reply: 10
Panama will be lucky to finish with 11 men
Posted by: Kris2, June 24, 2018, 1:50pm; Reply: 11
That penalty was ridiculous lol. The guy wrestled Kane to the floor and held him down. How they could argue or VAR could spend time looking over the decision I don't know.

I'm 58 and can never remember England 5 up at HT...never mind in the World Cup......over to the stats.

They want to get a big man on and start knocking it long don’t they? I’m sure I read that on here.

That 4th goal was lovely stuff. Great to see some real invention from set pieces.

I normally feel sympathy for the little countries. But not this lot. They should be playing rugby. It suits them better.

I wonder what this shitty bunch of twits remind Alan Sugar of.
Posted by: jaygy, June 24, 2018, 2:15pm; Reply: 20
I think from watching their manager speaking with Southgate and the way their players have started the second half that they’ve been warned about their bullying etc

I think we were 5-0 up against Luxembourg in a Euro qualifier in the late 90s. Owen scored in the 2nd half to make it 6-0

6-0 Kane lucky with the goal.

Absolutely class today, we’ve been clinical and professional in when why’ve tried to kick lumps out of us. Lingard has been exceptional this afternoon.

It’s been an exciting game to watch so far!

Come on England.

Is that us top of the group now?

Probably but the way this World Cup is going......do we want to finish top of the group ?

Ayeeee. A draw on Thursday sees us through as winners.

Bad defending there

Seeing as everyone loves a tenuous GTFC link, is Danny Rose the first brother of a Town player to play at a World Cup?

Back to 2nd place in the group

Identical record. Wonder what happens if it's a draw on Thursday?
Posted by: topuphere666, June 24, 2018, 2:52pm; Reply: 30
Although both us and Belgium have scored 8 and let in 2. If we draw with them on Thursday what decides the group?
Posted by: golfer, June 24, 2018, 2:54pm; Reply: 31
Even Russell Slade could pick a team to beat this Panama shower of shite---on second thoughts....
Posted by: AdamHaddock, June 24, 2018, 2:54pm; Reply: 32
Is there even a rule for that? Perhaps penalties or a play off?

If identical after that it’s drawn lots. Seems a bit daft that. If only there was some sort of ranking system they could use.

Conclusions from today's game:

Panama are sh1te, we are quite good, Lingard without Alli please, Rashford for Sterling too.

I can't believe no one predicted the correct score and I don't think there'll be many bonus points on goals scored after the last 2 games in Englands group.

I would like to issue with the suggestion above that Slade would have beaten Panama.

When he had Kane at Orient he played him as an attacking midfielder for some time.  Surprised that he did not try him in goal.

I  had a couple  of quid on 6-0 at 40/1 Curses! :(

Very sloppy second half . 1-1 second half against Panama, not good enough. Too much tippy tappy crap football which obviously, a lot of the players cannot do competently.

How many teams that are 5-0 up at half time come out and play the same in the 2nd half ?

The match was won and players eased off saving their energy for another day.

What a bunch of thugs, cheats, whiners, whingers, and moaners Panama are.

A disgrace. They may win the odd Oscar, but not many football games.

I expect the Cowleys are in for a couple of them as I type.

What has annoyed me about this world cup is the amount of times players fall to ground when an opposition player is near them.  Panama won a lot of freekicks were they weren't even fouls....especially Rubens yellow card.

Belgium will be the test....and who i think will go far.
Posted by: mimma, June 24, 2018, 4:32pm; Reply: 47
They are going to increase the number of teams in the 2026 world cup which means that their will be a lot more smaller teams like Panama kicking lumps out of the bigger nations.

The most impressive thing about our performance today is how we dealt with playing a team more interested in playing Rugby. We kept calm and destroyed them, England sides of old, certainly in my generation, would’ve crumbled and struggled today.

Completely agree. We should only have the competent teams like Italy and Argentina there kicking lumps out of the other teams.

It will be a boring 0-0 draw with neither side wanting to get injured booked or sent off,

They will both save their energy for the game (s) to come.

It was inevitable that Kane would give Panama six of the best.
