Hopefully he can take the opportunity to watch the world cup. Never a good time to be in hospital but every cloud has a silver lining.

Costs a bloody fortune to watch TV in hospital these days!

Best wishes to Chris, hope he's soon back on his feet.

Thank you for your best wishes.

I am on the road to recovery after an anxious time. Don't think I will ever know what caused the blood clots but one consultant described them as 'enormous'. The pressure these put on my otherwise healthy heart was significant and if not immediately life threatening, certainly life shortening.

After having all the risks explained, we went for the risky option which seems to have been the correct call and my heart returned to 'normality'.

I have now been released from hospital and started to stroll around again in readiness for pre season.

On to more pressing things I hope we can find that one striker which will add goals to what I expect will be a fit squad playing high tempo attacking football. Nothing is guaranteed in life but most will be expecting a much better performance than last season

Good news Big Chris - all the best with your recovery. :) And apologies to an administrator (a self confessed Tranmere Rovers hater) who did not want to hear from me for 3 months - sorry for breaking my gagging order! :-/

Good to hear you're back on your feet so quickly Chris, especially given what your doctors said

Must have been a bit of a shock.... I know we all get to an age when ailments can arrive from out of the blue, but even so, something like this must have been pretty worrying

Anyway you've got just over 5 weeks until the season starts, so wishing you a speedy full recovery!
