Livvo. Recently caught a glimpse of Higginbottom's autobiography where he talked about the clash with Livvo. Says that town accepted his apologies in the immediate aftermath but then macca did a GET column suggesting it was deliberate.
He describes it as on of the lowest points of his career

This is awful just like everyone else I can't decide between Livvo and Amond

Didn't either of them ever wear 11 even if it was in training perhaps or can be pretend they did please?

I think Groves is going to landslide number 11......

Livvo was probably the more talented considering the level he played at for us. Not a prolific striker but an effective leader of the line, and an intelligent player. Was an influential sub in the Bournemouth game.

It's a real wrench not giving it to Podge because of his outstanding contribution in getting us out of the Conference.

So Livvo. Just.

I  Loved Liam Hearn because he was the first player for ages who got me on th edge of my seat.
Podge was simply a great finisher for 12 months, real quality but it has to be Livvo who has epitomised the underdog tag we had for years.

Not a great list, but Livvo for me. Amond had an amazing season but it was at our lowest level, Livvo played a lot more games and in a better league.

For a few months in late 2011 and early 2012 Hearn was electric. If it wasn't for injuries I think he could've scored goals in the championship. A player who would get you out of your seat so I'm going for him (futile gesture I know!)

What would we have given for a player like him last season.

Agree with that, although I went for Reddy, I'm sure Boulding for more votes.

Livvo got to be, tho Amond is a close second for the promotion year..

I'll pick Steve Livingstone considering he played for nine years at championship level for us, a fit Liam Hearn in his prime playing at a higher level would have been interesting.

If it was about having the player at the right time then I would of gone for Gary McSheffrey, in his prime I would say he's better than all of them.

Just had a quick count on the thread and I make it Reddy 18 votes, Boulding 25 so it should really be Boulding as No.9.

Reddy was about 6-0 up but Quick Mick came with a late run to claim the prize.

he looked miles offside but VAR showed he'd actually timed his run perfectly

This whole competition just shows how much Town have been through in a relatively short space of time when we’ve got championship players like livvo and pouton up against conference players like Hearn and amond

Yes, Amond was great, and I'd have him back in a shot. but in the conference! Livvo played for us in the Championship. Huge difference in quality of opposition in those divisions.

So definatley Livvo.

Amond for me.

I absolutely loved watching Livvo play but if we're sticking to the Fishy Era basis, he was mainly used as a centre back with the odd going up front before niggling injuries took hold and then ultimately that horrific injury that all but ended his career.  I seem to remember him wearing 14 as a squad number too.  Was it only his final season that he wore 10?

In his prime here, 93 to say 98, he was bloody brilliant.  A sheer battering ram which was in complete contrast to the nine-stone technicians that surrounded him.  It's an old cliche but he wasn't bad for a big man either but his strength was as that brute force to ruffle feathers.   Even to this day I love watching his scrap with Shaun Teale in the FA Cup.  Just two hard blokes going at it, battle to decide who's the toughest.

Hearn, as pointed out by others, was electric and after so many seasons of dross it was such a pleasure to see a player who had that ability to get you out your seat.  For a period he really did look like he would score every time the ball came near him.  He got stronger and stronger during that spell too.  Similar to Michael Reddy really in that injury deprived us of seeing how far he could go (with us and at a higher level) but ultimately his contributions were quite short.

Amond, got us back in the league.  It's that simple.  Don't care that it was 5th tier, don't care that he was arguably a flat-track bully.  Without his monster haul of goals we wouldn't have even featured in the play-offs that season.

I reckon it would be possible to make a decent side out of those with squad numbers higher than 11.

McKeown (13), Lump (19), Pouton (26).
