Bid rejected from bradford
Posted by: scott_gtfc_89, June 12, 2018, 6:52pm; Reply: 1
Must have a price they want and Bradford are not matching it,

No rush to sell, way for the right offer.

Could turn into a good bit of buisness.

I think you may be surprised. Not sure what he'll go for but I'm sure we will be looking for a bigger up front fee than that and a good sell on clause. It appears there is a lot of interest which is a good thing. £££.

That'll do for his left leg.

How much did we actually pay for Ross just out of interest?

Pete O’Rourke isn’t usually right, he hops onto rumours that others have started and is right on a small percentage. I see that he’s just aftertiming rumours at the minute.

On saying that, the rumour is plausible and it could come off. Want 6 figures ideally.

I seem to think £70,000 was mentioned at the time but that might just be rumours. It did seem to take a while to sort out but that might have been the player's agent rather than Bradford.

Hannah deal I heard it was £35,000 then I told it was £50,000.

Hannah held up the deal for more wages which is understandable he was like 26 or 27 when we signed him.

Potentially worth far more than that for me

The key word is potential. Remember he has only played part of a season in league 2. So the vital thing for us is a good sell on clause so we benefit if he does fulfill his potential.

True but on his day is quality.Silky skills and can beat a man with ease.I certainly feel if he had consistency could play league 1 or championship.

Or tell him hes going nowhere till Christmas so better do well or no one will want him by then, if he has a stormer his price inflates.
Plus gives him time to get some abuse .

Not if we offer him a contract on equal terms.

I think he has great potential, but if he doesn't want to play for us we should cash in now. That cash could then be used to finance  what I see as a top priority. A decent goal scorer.

I think the squad MJ is assembling will pay with pace and energy, and will probably create plenty of chances, but we really need someone who can put the ball away on a regular basis. Don't see Cardwell, for all his effort, or the new kid, doing that.

JJ Hooper?

JJ Hooper?

I think his best position is wide left. He was awesome there against Notts County an didn't do too badly against FGR!

I would like to think he would be more of a provider, while chipping in with a few goals too.

I agree. JJ doesn't have the awareness to play as a centre forward, he's better coming in from wide where most of the game is ahead of him. Having said that, he's got a cracking shot so if he can continue his form from the end of the season then there's no reason he couldn't chip in with 10-12 goals from playing there

Hope so, and if Whitehouse chips in with a few too we could be in business!

Think Hooper could really flourish wide left of a front three.

I think Dembele will go for an ‘undisclosed’ fee.
That seems to be the way nowadays 🤔

Is it a 'rule' that fees cannot be disclosed??

Not as far as I know. But at our level it seems to happen a lot. With both clubs blaming the other for it being undisclosed.
It must be noted somewhere in ‘accounts’ I guess

They don't show individual transfers in the accounts. Just the net of incoming and outgoing fees in aggregate. Not in ours anyway.
