Woolford, A Rose, Summerfield and Collins all have contracts which expire tomorrow.  Presumably if they want to get paid in June, they will need to sign up quick,’with us or elsewhere?

Also presumably players at other clubs will start to move once contracts run out?

I expect a few players will be signing tomorrow and Friday,

Both old and new.

Think they expire June 30th.

Definitely 30th June, they’ll become free agents on 1st July.

Wouldn’t be surprised if a couple if not all have already signed their contracts.

Bit surprised that Akeem Rose didn’t sign the day it was offered given how we’ve stood by him whilst awaiting his clearance

If he doesn’t sign, then just shows he used us to get his clearance

I heard last week that Rose had rejected our contract offer, if that is true that is terrible from him and we should seek to recover costs we have incurred on getting his permit.

We offered him 10 bob a week and a sausage off the pre-season BBQ.

Depends what he was offered and what kind of offers he's had from elsewhere I guess.. it's his career and a free market now his contract has run down.. can't blame any player for that..

For those saying June not May, I took the dates off Cod Almighty- must be right?

As Rose is under 23 and I assume we haven't offered him less money then it would go to tribunal where I would hope they consider our costs of getting his permit.

IF he has rejected the contract then that isn't the kind of person we want around the place anyway. I know football isn't known for loyalty anymore but we could have released him and left him on the football scrapheap when it became clear he didn't have a permit.

Permit would have cost a few hundred quid so no big deal. People getting very excited over a player who has scored a few goals at youth team level who may go on to be a real asset for someone or not.

Remember Sam Mc....... who scored 40 goals plus and was it five on outing for first team at Winterton but never made the grade. Hope he turns out to be a top player for town but will he?

Agents will be pivotal in seeking new deals for their players must be excrement for clubs having to deal through a third party.

That's totally irrelevant, totally different type of hearing, this is "hearing a rumour" we are talking about...

I also heard about this time last year that we were taking a young left back called Jamil Roberts on trial, I got the same response as I did from you and guess what? Few weeks later we took a young left back called Jamil Roberts on trial, I do have 1 or 2 sources you know from other clubs, none at GTFC but I do have few sources elsewhere who obviously pick things up surrounding what's happening at clubs, especially if this said club is interested in Ahkeen Rose...
