the first 2/3 games don't determine a season or give a good idea of where we are likely to go..I'd say around Christmas we'll have more idea
It was the in the couple of weeks before Christmas that we'd had that run of 3 wins, followed by away games at Notts County and Luton that gave me some hope for 2018
More of an idea? How wrong could it go after that?
We very nearly crashed and burned... but for the introduction of Jolley we might well be back as a non-league outfit again by now ::)

I'm feeling slightly underwhelmed to be honest but hope its misplaced. The bookies odds I saw last week suggested bottom third and unless we secure a decent striker they may be right.
Well I have to say I'm not normally good at football predictions but my guess for last season is my best ever!!

I like mariner_09 being slated for not agreeing that Slade/Wilko are better than Hurst/Doig...

I suddenly feel vindicated!
In all honesty, I wasn’t against the sacking of Bignot and never thought we’d have nearly gone down under Slade as he I thought he was at the very least, reliable but I was wrong, for the first time since 2003 I think! 😅
