I have always thought Michael Nelson to be a good player at this level but referring to your new signing as very old and fit as a butchers dog is not a way to endear yourself I agree.

exactly my thoughts.
although i have just been wondering though that if Allen is actually just trying to paint a bad a picture as possible so he could engineer himself a pay-off very early into his season.

You think that's bad. Check out one of their pre season games. This is what they said.
"Wednesday, July 25 (7pm): We will play and beat Wigan Athletic (home)"
They seem to think they are still a league team....
