Both Utd and Chelsea have been very good or rubbish this season,
.
It all depends on which team if any turns up,

If neither then it will be a boring game that goes all the way to pens

If one turns up it could be 3 or 4-0,

If both are on there game it could be 3-2 or 3-3.

Then pens,

Lets hope its the latter.

Think the ref got it right, under the new law.

Why is Rashford taking corner kicks, reminds me of a couple of years ago when Harry Kane was doing the same. It's a midfielders job, the striker should be in the box to put it in the net.

Why do premiershet teams have such terrible chants? Our fish chant at Wembley could out-sing both the Utd and Chelsea fans.

Feels good to be a town fan.

Man Utd v Chelsea. FA Cup Final. If that is the best football the Premiership can produce then I am glad I follow Grimsby Town FC. What a waste of 2 hours of my life,

Funnily enough that's almost exactly what I posted on my FB page! 😁

Hmm I seriously dont see a masterclass from conte, very weird to use that term. It's was simply park the buss and won because of a penalty. I hate all Premier teams but I find the hypocritical nature of it even worse. One min they call mourinho parking the buses but if the opposite do it, its classed as a masterclass... Very odd.

Yeah he got it spot on I thought. Was definitely a foul but he was trying to play the ball.

Did not watch it as i hate prem football... nearly the same teams every year in the final.. not a chance of anyone else getting a look in . lucky if you get a bit of a run in it , but thats it

Although Portsmouth, Stoke, Wigan, Hull, Palace and Villa have all made the final in the last decade

I lost count the amount of times the BBC kept talking about how the FA Cup 'still matters' to teams.

They're trying to convince themselves when they know deep down the magic has gone.

It might not have gone for some fans, and maybe some clubs like Wigan (or lower league teams in the early rounds) but it's said to see a showpiece final whose boringness was seen an absolute mile off.

I'd love to cherish and protect the FA Cup but when the Champions League semi finals are giving you 20+ goals across four games, you can't really compare the two for entertainment.

I'm getting a bit tired of there being so much talent on the pitch but it cancelling each other out. I fear the world cup will be the same. Plenty of 0-0s, 1-0s, 1-1s (2-1s if we're lucky) as everyone tries to play like Greece in 2004 or Portugal in 2016 and defend their way to winning the thing.

It seems too much is at stake and no one is willing to play attacking, expansive, cavalier football any more. Teams play with fear - if not the opposition then the media backlash if/when they lose/go out.

Little old Lincoln had a decent stab at it last season.

Personally I've got to the stage with the premiership that I'd rather not bother watching prima donnas and watch the championship and below. The playoff semi finals have been very successful as both Scunthorpe and Lincoln failed......and you all thought this wouldn't be a gloating post.

The premiership is killing the game from within , until the big wigs realise lower league clubs and grass roots should get more of the pot of gold it will carry on until it implodes.

It's 9:45 on the day after the FA Cup Final and I still have no idea of who won. That tells you about the 'Magic of the Cup'.

A team wearing blue, beat a team wearing red 1-0. That's all you need to know  ;)

Two teams with a paper value of half a billion or so played out a boring, turgid game even after a relatively early goal.

Needed an Arsenal or Liverpool type of team (not great in defence much of the time) rather than two trying to cancel each other out

Well neither team turned up and if it was not for the pen it could have gone on all night,

the magic of the FA Cup is more aimed at little clubs getting one over the big guns.  The magic of the FA Cup for me isn't about Chelsea vs Man Utd but more who can lower league clubs knock out lol.

We have not had a decent cup run for years,

Lets hope as well as a promotion push next season we can have a good cup run.

That should give MJ a bit more funds for another step forward the following season.

I am not counting the non league cup runs.

It wouldn't surprise me if that meant Man Utd won with both teams playing in change strips to sell more! But i made the mistake of looking at the back pages of the Mirror in the barbers this morning. Damn. I reckon I would have made it through the day without finding out.

I went to the Cup Final, as I do every year as I enjoy the weekend out. The pubs are killing this event for those that like a drink before and after the game, £6 a pint in every pub we visited within reach of Wembley! We use to really enjoy all the singing and banter that happens leading up to Kick Off but this year the places were virtually empty. We still enjoyed the weekend but it is getting harder to do so. 8)
