Not sure if posted elsewhere, but Allen has said that Akinde is to be sold to help fund their new squad.

Is he someone we should aspire to?

He is not.

Prior to this season a definite yes but injuries and a poor scoring record this year would make me think more than twice before considering any sort of offer, swap for Kelly & Dixon may be attractive option!

Wasn't it Barnet who offered a ridiculously low sum for Bogle? We could offer a tenner for Akinde and see what they say.

I'd love him at Town and I can't believe some people on here wouldn't have him.

Naah,  we've got a decent penalty taker thanks.

He didn't have a great season did he? 7 league goals all season and two of them were pens. Their fans seemed to think he disappeared for a big part of the season when they needed him.

I think the stats showed that he scored lots under Mad Dog the first time round, then dropped off under the new manager. Everyone expected him to start firing them in once Allen was back but it didn't happen.

He either needs a change of scenery or he's starting on that slippery slope downwards, if there's even a chance it's the latter then no thanks, seen enough of that in the last few seasons to last a lifetime. Could be the former, someone will take the risk I'm sure.

Would think Barnet will want a decent fee for him but even then I doubt he come this far north. The most northern team he's played for is Alfreton. All his other dozen or so teams have been down south.

Akinde is so yesterday. We want tomorrow's players. Another Bogle or two.

Never rated him much. He's just another roid freak who looks really big and can push past people.

What a bizarre comment. Not everyone in shape has to take drugs to get there. You do realise drug testing is a thing?

I wonder if Lincoln will be back in for him after the balls up last season.
