Now the football season has finished what are you doing this summer ?

Watch the World Cup ?

We're off kayaking on the river for the first time (started today) and taking the dogs on our usual two week trip to stay in a static caravan just outside Scarborough.

As I won £30 million on the lottery on Friday night, I want to become a non chairman of a local football club so, I am booked into the clinic to have my brain removed so I can f@@k every thing up but not realise it.

Touring N.W.Scotland for 3 to 4 weeks. Assynt Mountain region is the current location we have in mind, but that could change when we get there. Probably trying to find some obscure bar or hotel in the middle of nowhere to watch a World Cup game or two.

Ireland for a few days end of May. World Cup and lots of drinking, then a few day trips to the Dales or Lakes. Week in the Lakes in July then a few days at Nettleton in August. Peak work time for me and money tight.
Looking forward to seeing Jolley's squad.

1) Working!

2) I'm trying to find a company who will design a costume and mask of Mr Fenty and Mr Jolley so I can dress my wife up as them on alternative Saturday's I can then make mad passionate love to her, one Saturday from the front and the other Saturday from the rear.. I'm yet to decide who's front and who's from the rear!  But like any football fan I always get more pleasure coming from behind!

It did cross my mind to get a Russell Slade costume..... but I'm not a weirdo!!

3) Working

For anybody who is already missing their football, and isn't too worried about where they watch it, up here we - Auchinleck Talbot - still have SIX league games to play, we have a Junior Cup Final at Rugby Park, Kilmarnock on May 27th, the Ayrshire Cup semi final, and West of Scotland Cup quarter final to play, and if we win the league - which is a distinct possibility, we have the Evening Times Cup to play for as well. That's a possible FOURTEEN games still to play, and realistically just FOUR weeks to get them all played in, such is the ridiculous fixture shambles we have up here.

If anyone does fancy a trip north of the border to see as good a non league side as there is anywhere in Scotland you'll always be made most welcome at Beechwood Park. We also have the very best programme and memorabilia shop in Scotland - very similar to the one I used to run at BP in the late 1980s where the club shop is now, along with my old mates Sid Woodhead and Ron Cowling.
