Club sold again, this time to a company that were only formed a few months ago and whose nature of business is listed as "Buying and selling of own real estate."

Great prep for the massive crunch game this weekend.

They had their main chance to survive against Barnet last Sat.  The match stats showed that Barnet were doing far more to try and win the game - and deserved their win.

Think they had had it.  Can't see Coventry failing to beat them.

There only hope is if Barnet slip up against Chesterfield.

It's not going to easy getting out of Conference again either.

Thank heavens we are not in their position.

Or should I say thank Jolley........

Won't be a popular reply but for the grace of JF, this could be us, lurching from one rich man's plaything to another .

A couple of weeks ago, before the Swindon game I think, someone posted 'Chesterfield and Morecambe to go down, you heard it here first.......'

Can't remember who or on which thread and at the time it seemed very unlikely but, blimey, it looks like t's about to happen.

Has Bradley Wood been in contact over the last couple of games with some Morecambe players?

And there was me thinking that Barnet had been relegated. In all the recent good feeling of us staying up, I hadn't realised (or cared) who the other team was that was getting relegated

You are of course correct, thank buggery JF hasn't taken us to the brink of relegation out of the Football League.

Thank God he hasn't done it twice you mean. And give praise for us never being relegated out of the League under his stewardship. We'd be lost without him.

We just need to start a season with a massive points deduction to complete the John Fenty Football Club stewardship set.

Tonight's win by Chesterfield must send shivers down the spine of Barnet fans. They clearly haven't given up entirely just because they are relegated and they might not be willing to roll over and hand them the three points they need on a plate after all........

You just never know with football.

Really sad for teams facing relegation.  Knowing how I was feeling about Mariners.  Let's face it these teams have fans just like us  and sooner than  jeer at their fate  wish them well for the future

But football is all about winners and losers. Can't have one without the other, and for every team that is relegated, another team is promoted in their place. When we got promoted from non league, did anyone give a stuff about whose place we were taking in League 2? Without promotion and relegation, there wouldn't be any competitive edge.

There times if you include the season before he did get us relegated , plus the two other relegations he got us from the championship.
He really is doing something wrong

Newport clearly have given up though judging by their recent results.

They beat Cambridge on Saturday and Accrington last Tuesday, so I'd hate to think what they would do if they hadn't given up  :)

Agree. You wouldn't wish relegation to the conference on any true supporter.

However, someone has to go down. Rather them than us.

I believe Morecambe were 100/1 to go down at that point! That day us, Barnet and FGR all won and Morecambe lost to Crewe in the last minute and their price tumbled.

Given their recent form, I wondered whether Barnet were actually favourites to stay up.

They're odds on to beat Chesterfield (1.57) and Coventry are just short of evens (1.95) to beat Morecambe.

Combine those two bets (the only scenario where Barnet can stay up) and you get odds of 3.06 (sorry, I use decimal).

Morecambe to draw or win at Coventry is 1.80.

So, Barnet to stay up is roughly 2/1 and Morecambe to stay up is 4/5.

Morecambe remain favourites to survive - even though Barnet and Coventry are odds on to win their respective matches.

A tenner on Barnet to stay up will give you £20.60 profit, but use the relegation market (for Morecambe to go down at 3.25) and you get slightly more at £22.50 profit.

Is it worth a tenner?

I got a feeling Chesterfield might surprise us and Barnet by stopping Barnet getting the win they must have to keep up,

Morecombe will get hammered at Coventry but it wont matter.

Funny how stats can tell often a different story (even if they are heavily placed bet led)...if this is correct then there's even more chance (according to the odds) of Morecambe staying up if the Barnet draw/lose scenario hasn't been added.

I doubt this will make any Shrimps feel better about the situation though!

Reading some of the posts on the Morecambe forum, they don’t seem too bothered about going down and think it is a foregone conclusion.

I don't fully understand all this betting stuff, but I guess the other factor to consider is that a draw in either game sends Barnet down. Only one of the nine possible combinations of results means Barnet staying up.

I will watch developments on Saturday with interest, but thankfully no emotional involvement!  If Matt hadn't nodded in the winner on Saturday I'd be a nervous wreck at this point!

How different the table would look if Rose hadn't scored that equalising penalty against Barnet!

We'd be on 47, Morecambe and Barnet both on 45.

We'd be all on 45 if Matt hadn't scored that winner!

Well we don't have to imagine all those 'what if's' now.  :)

Think they have just about gone. With Mad Dog at Barnet and M.J. here it just about proves what a clearout and a decent change of manager can do. Thank god we did it JUST in time

Golfer, what's this about "we" it was down to Mr Fenty and for that we should all be eternally grateful, well that's what Mrs Fenty told my missus in the hairdressers Wednesday morning.

Did someone on here mention him first? Was it one of the Scandi lads?
