Sounds like the only fully fit strikers we have are Cardwell and Hooper. Not had much luck with strikers this season.

But Jackson is fit enough to take part for at least some of the game. That is good news as he seems the only striker we have got that knows where the goal is.

Let's hope he does know where the goal is for our sake but his recent record would suggest he's forgotten where it is.

Didn't he score 3 minutes into his debut

The interview seemed a bit cut and paste to me.

Don't quite bknow what he meant by the comment that he doesn't know if he will be here next season.

Well that was a fking weird interview...why on earth would he chuck that comment in about his future without even  being asked or pressed?

The wording used suggested that he only has a short term contract to the end of this season ?

Really strange to raise that voluntarily .....either he was using it as a diversionary tactic to try and stop the boring line of questioning Matt Dean was following... What about player a...what about player b...what about player c...YAWN or he is trying to court favour with the public because he genuinely doesnt know if he will be.

I seem to think his announced contract at the appointment was "undisclosed"....maybe the club did give him to the end of the season with a minimum target to trigger a longer contract ?

I agree. Makes me wonder....

I think he was just pointing out the vagaries of football and how volatile it is. Basically saying that no one knows yet what is going to happen at the end of the season. I expect he will be here in charge next year, whatever league we are in. Was a throwaway comment to me.

I picked this up a few weeks ago he said something  like  he would like to be here next season, made me wonder if he is on some sort of trial to see if he can save us or the like

Possibly. Maybe if we go down, the board will look to bring in a manager with non league experience?

Anyway, it's all about the next three games, then see where we are.

Disagree.
In his press work to date when has he been anything other than measured, calm and in control ?

My spidey senses are tingling with this one..(Confused)

He did but his record over the past 5 years or so is pretty poor so let's hope he starts to improve from now on.

fenty probably wants to fire Michael Jolley because he wants Paul Wilkinson to be first team manager to save money, either that or he wants to re-appoint his best mate Russell Slade

Four of the seven teams have played three centre-backs against us. These systems are coming up against us and we’re not stepping up, it’s as simple as that.

above is a quote from Phil Brown. is this mind games or might Jolley be persuaded to play 3 centre backs as i understand osborne is fit egain as well as the kid from villa available.would also add a bit more height in defence and to attacking dead balls/mitch rose throw ins

I think everybody are reading too much into he might not be here next season,

He is on a 6 month rolling contract and if we get relegated Fenty might terminate it,

It would not be a suprise if he got the sack but he also said he wants to be here and expects to be,

It is out of his habds though isn't it ?

We will stay up so he would have done the job he came in for so he will be here to build a much smaller but better squad,

It can not be any worse than this one can it Mr Slade ?

Agree - definitely a throw away line to try to shut down the line of questioning about a player that we all know MJ would prefer not to have here. He could equally have asked Dean how sure he is that he will be at BBC.

Listen to his pre match barnet interview, he says he has plan for noth scenarios, one if we stay up and one for if we go down....that's the thoughts of a man who expects to here nest season at the very least..

Fukin hell if this was to camera it would have been recorded on the Zapruda Film.

No conspiracies, no short term dodgy contracts, no termination threat just a bloke who’s actually a bit inexperienced with the media and who had a lot on his mind having to answer a set of repetitive questions from aanother average journo  who is still working in the local media when many of his contemporaries are moving their careers forward.

Will MJ be away in the summer? No! Will Matt Dean and RH be asking the same questions next season yes, nothing to get concerned about I reckon.
