Surprised it’s that low considering the revolving door we have had at BP in the last 12 months

Them agents are really going to earn their money when they get this lot another club.

Surprised any of these clowns have agents. The very notion of JJ Hooper having an agent has brought a smile to my face for the first time in about 20 games.

Maybe we could try putting his agent up front?  Might be an improvement!

I still believe agents should be paid by the players after all its not the clubs decision to employ an agent.  I understand why agents are there but i dont believe the club should pay them

My mate Bradley told me his (Lee Philpott) agent has done nothing and he has affectively found his clubs.  Anyway Bradley will be hanging his boots up soon to work with our kid.

Accrington paid 9k and Wycombe 7k. Obviously use their money more wisely.

Aldershot spent £112 on agents.  ;D

Quite telling. There are obviously people of greater acumen at other L2 clubs. No real surprise there.

£42k spent on what!

Who have we brought in over the last 12 months who has done anything to merit a professional deal, never mind a bloody agents fee?

Unless I'm mistaken, we hardly fought off competition for the players we brought in.  So why were we willing to pay agents fees?  The line should have been to the player, either you pay the agent yourself (or ideally bin them off) otherwise we don't even talk.

Pathetic management of the club, once again.

Probably paid agents fees to move on Osbourne, Clements and Jones!!!

I think you're all misunderstanding the situation. The agents paid GTFC £42k to take the whole crock of sh!te. There's no other explanation surely?

Would bogle and Jones sales have anything to do with these figures ?

If anything the agents should have been paying us!!

It’s just the same as recruiting in the commercial world of you ask an agent (or consultant) to find you an employee you pay their fee, often 10 - 15% of annual basic or a pre agreed fixed fee.

Clearly from the crap we are carrying in the squad and the timing of his addictions Slade had no network to fall back on and had to pick the phone up to the blood sucking leaches who drain money from the game.

How does it compare to the fees we paid in the previous hurst seasons?

I think the issue isn't the fact we've paid out, sadly it's part and parcel of the game (although nice to see some clubs are bucking the trend).  The issue is that we've spent £42k on agent fees for absolute junk.  Whilst I would be annoyed, I wouldn't be as bothered if we had spent that money on good, effective signings.  You could argue that paying that money negates the need for a scouting network if that was the result.  However it just looks like Slade was very lazy in his recruitment and brought in either people he worked with before, people who Wilkinson had worked with before at Norwich or junk who couldn't get a deal elsewhere.  Hardly due diligence is it?  I'm angry with Slade but even more angry that Fenty has allowed it to happen.  I don't expect the chairman to interfere with transfers, but I do expect him to have a handle on what's happening and hold the manager to account.

I completely agree and am equally as p1sssed off with JF for allowing it to happen after allowing Bignot to bring numerous players in without shipping others out and inflating the wage bill to ridiculous levels.

Other than being his friend I am mystified to why JF ever re-appointed Slade

The mirroring of the Bignot situation is the one that really, really annoys me.  Don't get me wrong, Bignot was a joke but the rope that Fenty hung him with was that he brought in too many players without offloading others.  Let's ignore the fact that Fenty will have sanctioned every single one of those signings, he then allowed Slade do to exactly the same thing.

I believe the purchasing club pays the agent fee so I wouldn't have thought so.

It was bordering on insanity how many players we had on the books under MB.Pretty sure at the time they were sanctioned it was stated we had got them in early to make sure we got them? I wasn`t a fan of MB however I fully expected him to start off loading and cutting his squad in the Summer.RS came in and for reasons best known to himself off loaded all our better players and replaced them with junk whilst retaining the poorer players. The squads an unbalanced mess and has been since we got back in the league really but at least PH managed his squad albeit he looked 2-3 players short.MB came in and we had the largest squad of midfielders in Europe but with no width.RS came in decimated the defence, midfield and attack . :-/

Say what you like about MB, but he (and Hurst) left Slade a mid table side to work with. It didn't need major surgery, but it got it anyway. The patient is dying on the operating table and the new surgeon may not have enough bandages to save it.

To be fair to him, a lot were short term deals/loans. I'm sure at the end of last season we had 14 players under contract.

Maybe it's like a business taxi receipt?
Pay a taxi driver £15 for a £10 ride then he gives you a receipt for £30
Put the £30 receipt through the books and everyone's a winner
The accountant says SHUT UP 🤐
Only joking 🙃

Surely we can get that money back? You can get refunds for damaged goods or for purchases which are not fit for purpose.
