Cup final.

Biggest game since the Wembley win against FGR.

The club needs to do everything possible to pack BP.

I hope our fans turn up in droves to support the team.

We still have to believe.

The inquest can start if we go down.........UTM

Haha cant win a game but all of a sudden gonna beat chesterfield .

Do me a favour , we keep doing our bit but the team never do theres.

We keep turning up and we keep supporting while that smug w@nker rips our club apart.

We keep saying next week we must win but that week keeps getting further on , they arent good enough and its just reality.

We’ve done our part for years. Im sick of the get behind the team line, every week every year it never flipping changes. The fans do more for this club in 90 minutes than our board non chairman and spinesless gutless squad have done all season and ive had enough

Sadly mate I can see us going down even if we win. The team is like a badly injured dog, the sooner it is put to sleep the better. Relegation will be a blessed release, I just can't face it going on and on with the relatives at the bedside hoping for a miracle until the inevitable last day defeat at FGR, I just hope its decided by then either way

Completely agree mate, but while there’s still hope there’s hope! You’ll be at BP on Saturday with the rest of us to cheer on the lads!

That's fine then.
Let the 5000+ who will attend support and back the team.
Tell me again how did the protest go last time?

I can not give up yet Swin,

If we lose against Chesterfield then I will admit we are down,

BUT

Its a funny old game Stevenage scored 4 against Barnet today after failing to find our net,

On the other hand Yeovil scored 6 at Coventry today,

Bloody hell we must have been bad at Coventry.

I'm going the match to see what happens.

Finishing this season because I've already paid for a Season Ticket and thats it. No more, sick of accepting garbage and making the same mistakes. I've already written this season off. It's kind of hard to get behind the lads when I'm sick of the same crap and mistakes from the boardroom, but I won't be on the players backs or having go at what I feel are fools in the boardroom during the match.

My only fear is I feel there could well be some uglyness.

Need to unsettle the chesterfield team somehow to give us an advantage, the smack heads down Freemo wouldn't want much to brick the team coach but then again they'd probably miss 😂

I support Grimsby Town Football Club - have done since long before this dismal regime and pray to whoever that there will still be a Grimsby Town when they choose to vacate the premises. I will back the team whenever and wherever but when this season ticket expires, I will not buy another until the board have gone.

We have to get down to BP and raise the roof. We certainly aren't down, if we can beat a poor Chesterfield side who have only won 9 games all season and got beat last time out by a team with ten men for the majority of the second half then we've a huge chance. Barnet are arguably worse and got tonked 4-1 yesterday.

We have shown signs of improvement, we have four points more than Chesterfield, we just need to get over the line somehow, anyhow then we can start again. But we've a proper manager this time.

Ha. Whilst I admit there's always a glimmer of hope.  The fact that we haven't won in nigh on 20 games and now people are thinking we can win two on the bounce, when we haven't won once in the last 20.  I don't see it happening.  I hope I am wrong.   Embarrassingly to say, WE are the worst team in the league, ok, may be not in league table position  (ha if there were 10 more games to play I'm sure we could "win" that accolade), but on recent form, slide and momentum... that's what counts.

People are talking about seeing shoots of recovery and signs of improvement?  I guess a 2-1 loss at Wycombe is marginally better than a 4-0 thumping at Coventry.  But our goal was peppered again and Macca kept the score down by several very good saves.  It's like a shooting gallery for the poor sodomist.  At least it's putting his value up a bit.

Again, we play well for 30 minutes and fell apart.  How on earth can these so-called footballers not have enough in the tank for 90 minutes?  At a crappy level called League two.  Sadly, a football game is 90 + minutes.  Moreover, I couldn't give a stuff how we play at this part of the season: it's results driven.

We couldn't even beat Stevenage at home - a team that has nothing to play for.  Now we are expecting us to beat Chesterfield ?? They will be up for it, more than our sorry shower.  Sweet mother of Mary, all they need to do is keep us at bay for 30 minutes (which let's face it is urine easy) and then we will roll over and the floodgates will open for them (probably around the 65 min+ mark).  They only need to engineer cheap free kicks/corners and we'll fall apart like a house of cards.

Sadly when you score 0.5-1 goals a game and ship at least 2 goals in recent matches it doesn't look good.

If Chesterfield get a win and a draw against us and Barnet we are staring into the abyss.

If we lose on Saturday all hell will be unleashed and I fear for what will happen off the pitch? I remember seeing Town relegated at home to Hull and again the following Season by Aldershot trouble followed both times but I don`t recall the anger around the Town itself in the lead up.A massive game for both Clubs and I really hope from a Town point of view people are on here after the game talking about the football BUT......

Might probably find the Chesterfield fans think the same of their players as ours, no fight, don't give a crap, unfit, already thinking of next seasons club, so all in all it could be a very exciting end to end free flowing game, then again it will more than likely be a drab 0-0. The off field goings on may be more exciting!

Draw is 12-5 with betfred, 0-0 is 8-1 with bet365 and 1-1 is 6-1 with william hill
think it has  'draw' written all over it

And what we`d do to only have that same team out on the pitch on saturday, maybe we`d 4 points off promotion rather staring at the trap door of league football again...
Say what you like, but i will be there next season wearing my shirt with pride, because regardless of whoever is steering this Marie Celeste i am and will always black and white until the day i die!!

I respect your opinion, but I guess the past 20 games and results show how "up for it" our players are...  :-(

Chesterfield took their opportunity against Notts County at home, whereas we didn't against a poor Stevenage team.  OK, you can say Notts County had an off day... But when we face teams we don't take advantage and grasp that opportunity.

If it is either Chesterfield or Town who go down ( or both) the Directors of both clubs have a hell of a lot to answer for.

Neither of these two established clubs should have been allowed to rot to the core and the Directors need to be held accountable.

Directors should direct and they have clearly failed

I think if we show the effort, heart and application we did yesterday against 91st and 92nd in the league we might just come away with a result.

Agree there was clearly something missing during Slade’s time but yesterday gave me some hope’ maybe it’s too late in the day to make a difference but I can’t predict the future so let’s see.

Must say this also is my biggest fear and the stewards are going to get the rough end of the stick here from both sets of fans.

I only hope the board realize this and allow the trained police in the ground to enforce segregation otherwise, I really do fear someone is going to get seriously hurt.

There was plenty of agro last time I went to Chesterfield and that was not a six-point relegation battle with EVERYTHING at stake for both teams.

There is a very good chance whoever losses this could eventually go out of the league the stakes are that high both teams fans have endured months of frustration.

I fear another Burton Albion is on the cards as it is at FGR.

It's OK saying that but even with MJ in charge we have consistently let in poor goals even with what Clive Wiggington described barmy part man to man / zonal marking.

Agree about systems especially if it’s a mix of 2 that must be hard for the players to work with.

Let’s face it though we have been poor at defending set pieces for a number of years it’s not a new phenomenon for a Town side
