One thing I noticed yesterday was that we sent Clarke & Collins up for corners, but we didn't do this when we had free kicks or long throws from deep in the oppositions half. Given our lack of ability in creating chances from open play I was surprised we didn't try to make the most of these situations.

I'm guessing Jolley didn't trust them to be able to run back in time if we were hit on the counter, didn't want them out of position to give them the best chance in the game.

Just keep Mills and one other back like they do for corners

Maybe he thinks we’re susceptible on the counter and would rather their energy be spent defending as opposed to sprinting back into position. We kept a clean sheet so maybe it worked.

We need to win games. I'd keep one more defender than they have forwards as is standard practice.
