Basic 4-4-2 for me.

                  Macca
Davies  Collins  Mills  Fox
DJ Summerfield Mccalister Wilks
           Jackson Mcsheffrey

Changes still need to be made.
Dembele dropped
If Jackson and Summerfield fit get them in
I know Clifton is a local lad, but he needs a rest, 3 full 90mins showed against Coventry, and wasn't involved much for me
Gone for Mcsheffrey upfront, as although he doesn't have the legs, his off the ball movement is good and could be crucial in the midfield running beyond and getting in.

Same back 4 that conceded 4 goals on Saturday, but whilst that happened, they are our best 4

Thoughts?

Basically go with the same team as started against Coventry. Despite the awful final score they started off ok.

I'd agree with bringing Jackson and Summerfield in if fit but I thought they were both a little way off at the moment?

See I think the formation we had against Coventry worked fine, I would just bring Summerfield in for Woolford (if fit) if not DJ and Jackson in for Dembele again if fit and Mills at RB if Sulliman is avaibale.

Same starting 11 as Saturday for me. Only change I might make would be one of the strikers in for Mcsheffrey

If we can get the first goal, things could be so different on Friday. One win would change the whole complexion entirely. 3 wins (Stevenage, Barnet and Chesterfield) and job's a good 'un!

We must have tried every player in every formation known to man by now. I have no idea what the team should be.

The only problem with these formations is that summer field isn't fit,n Jackson isn't 100% fit.apart from that they're great 8)

I would prefer to see a 50% fit Summerfield to a 100% fit Berrett or Rose.  I was feeling a bit down a couple of hours ago ,so I watched the extended highlights of the Lincoln game,I feel even lower now  :'( . I couldn't believe how lethargic Berrett was, just looked as if he didn't give a sh!te.I hope to never see him in a town shirt again.

Personally wouldn't have Dembele anywhere near the team.

I like your optimism, win the next 3 home games, when we've only won 4 out of the last 19 at home!

I know some on here had a bad feeling that Chesterfield was going to get that win today, strange, but I have a feeling we will beat Stevenage on Friday and it's a long time since I've had that feeling.UTM.

I don't think dembele is fully fit. Was told that he's struggling with a trapped nerve in his back.dunno if that's true but he was certainly struggling with 30 to go.wed just made our third sub and he started stretching out as if he had cramp or calf problem and continued to do same

why would you have right footer wilks on the left, and left footed DJ on the right?

Wilks is a leftie and DJ is right footed.

Jackson or Hooper.

Not going to be everybody's cup of tea but with Summerfield injured, centre mid dosen't have a lot of options went with Berrett because he would assisting Fox and Mcsheffrey down the left since McSheffrey dosen't have the legs to get back, Wooford not good enough everybody seems to to want Summerfield and Jackson in the team if there not ready yet because of injuries then there not going to be in the team at the moment.

So centre mid was between Berrett, Rose and Davies take your pick from one of them three to start with McAllister and Clifton.

That's a decent formation but Cardwell can't finish or he's low on confidence, i just don't trust Cardwell at the moment can't see him scoring goals to be honest.

Think if we are going with one up front the best guy for holding the ball up is Vernon, downside being lack of pace and failure to wim many aerial duels. Personally would, with this group probably put Hooper up top and try and ensure we play the ball on the floor appreciate he can be lazy but still think he actually does possess some ability.

Must win game so let’s get at them.

He's better than Clarke and I think 3-5-2 would give us a more compact midfield whilst still having 'options' going forward.
