North Ferriby United’s rollercoaster ride up and back down the National Leagues is over for the time being as they were relegated tonight from National North after drawing at home to Salford.
Although they had success in winning the FA Trophy in 2015, they stand as a salutary lesson to other small clubs of what happens when your rich financial backer loses interest.
Let’s hope they can stabilise at their true level.

We battered them 6-0 at the weekend, the worst side I have seen for a long time at this level.
The GK was actually their best player, without him it would have been double figures easy. He'll get a club at this level for next season. Rest of them looked like kids.

Had a chat with their new owner after the game in the bar and he was saying how he is planning to move the club away from North Ferriby, change it's name but wants to keep the history of North Ferriby etc.

Thought he did, but wasn't in the squad last night... unless he's injured?
