Surely that puts to bed the myth that one of the reasons Phil Brown 'turned us down' was because he wanted a longer-term deal than we were willing to offer!

I also see that Mark Hughes is in the running for Southampton, the good old managerial merry go round continues, wonder where Slade will pop up next?

Probably some Miners Welfare team in South Yorkshire. Maybe he will then poach some of the dross he brought here.
