After watching the iIfollow interview with MJ one thing really stood out to me:
Just how quick and sharp he replied to John Tonder on the question of who picked the team for tomorrow. Shows to me that MJ is very much his own man, has strong opinions and a strong mindset. Really hope he gets the players "up and at it" with guts and determination to get the whole club out of the dark hole we have been in.

He's a really good talker. Quite open to answering questions and any he clearly couldn't he did well to explain why.

Hopefully his communication skills will have a real impact on the players.

Talks a good game sensibly and with confidence, miles away from the grinning joke cracking Bignot, or the shifty eyed bull shitter Slade.
A new chapter at GTFC we hope

Clearly an intelligent bloke despite a lot of “um”s and “err”s as he was trying not to give anything away and make himself hostage to a quote.

Reading between the lines, what he said in that interview could have been summed up in one sentence. “Good morning, John, yes I am going to try and make silk purses out of sowes’ ears in time for Saturday.”

Why was JT asking him questions about his time at Crewe. Was he  trying to implicate him with regard to the goings on there? If so out of order. MJ kept cool and answered the questions..

Because, as JT does explain to him, their local radio station had asked JT to ask him about his time there.

Port Vale is practically in Stoke and Crewe is only 15 miles down the road so I guess it pads out their preview of the match.

Let's be honest, In the binary world we live in Jolley's inevitably going to come in for some stick at times, however to derive from that question that JT might be implying that he's some kind of potential serial paedophile makes you a bit of a clint in my eyes.

The question was borne of geography, not pornography.

Comes across well when the pressure is off, I wonder what he’ll be like after a defeat? All being well we’ll find out next season   ;)

He was live on Sportstalk this evening as well. Good on him for embracing the media side of things. Strikes me as a bloke with an open door and willing to go the extra mile.

Yes you are right I am afraid I am a victim of the twisted world we live in. Thanks for putting me right with a perfectly reasonable explanation. My faith in human nature is slightly restored.
