Very sad. It doesn't matter if you are a top footballer, or a fish filletter, age 31 is decades too soon.

Fiorentina captain Davide Astori died of a "cardiac arrest by natural causes”.
Italian international Astori, 31, was found dead at the La di Moret hotel in Udine, ahead of his side's meeting with Udinese on Sunday.
The match, and all Serie A fixtures on Sunday, were subsequently cancelled.
RIP.

It was amazing respect to cancel all the Serie A games; I don't think that would happen in many countries. RIP Davide.

Totally agree, the money men would never let a full fixture list be cancelled.

Fantastic gesture by Fiorentina who have renewed his contract with all money going to his widow and 2-year old daughter.
