That was an excellent Everton team.  Anyone following football at that time will remember all the Everton players by name.  They won the league that season, unbeaten at home in all league games.  Just Town beat them.

If the Euro ban was not in place they might have won the European Cup.  They won one European trophy, playing good football.

Brilliant, What a night! We was a decent team ourselves. The Town fans were just fantastic that night.

I seem to remember even 'Drinks' couldn't get
into our starting eleven that night.

We had Wilko and Lund as well as Drinkell not a bad home grown striking trio,

I remember Drinkell being a sub when we beat Wolves 5-1 he came on when we were 4-1 up I think,

What a team and what a sub to come on. 8)

Having most of the highlights dvds from around that time gathering dust somewhere, that may have been one of his first times as commentator.

Got a lot to thank those guys for as without them many of the goals we see from that time onwards would not be available for the young ones of today to look back on. :)
