Looking forward to hearing Wilko’s thoughts on the Cambridge Pre-Match Presser. It seems like he has took a back seat from events this week and focused on first team affairs, wise choice!!

This will give us some kind of indication on what his thoughts are, what type of System and which players are likely to feature. I’m hoping for a complete transformation on how Slade played and hoping that the shackles are removed from the players. It will be interesting to see if the like of DJ are back in the mix too.

All this talk of new managers but I truly wish Wilko all the luck in the world and hope he can prove his knowledge and experience. We’ll find out if Slade listened to a word he says too!! I bet he won’t be just sat mute in the dugout this week!!

Good luck Wilko!!

Wouldn't hold your breath for that...would be welcome granted...but apart from the strikers he is pretty limited as to how he can change personnel and formation
Wilko has available this week.... 3 centre backs ( 1 untried ), one left back, 4 centre mids ( 2 of whom have hardly featured in the squad never mind started a first team game this season) , 3 actual wingers.

Hopefully he will come up with something but i would imagine a subtle tweak as opposed to all out radical change.

True .... but knowing his intentions aren’t a bad thing

I hope he throws in the kid from Villa and Clifton for starters using Davies and Mills at fullback.Upfront I will leave to him  ;D

I’d like to see him play RHJ at right back with Villa lad and Clarke at centre half and Bendy at left back then in midfield I’d love to see Dembele and Jaiyasimi wide with Summerfield and McAllister in the middle with Wilks and Little V upfront.

I’d agree with that time for Clifton to add that energy that our midfield lacks

Didn't really answer the more direct questions from JT apart from to say there was no problem with working with RS and had a great relationship with him and was devastated when he heard he had gone.

Much the same as from RS, the squads good enough, been unlucky in some games and we can turn it round.

Nothing about change of tactics or personnel so will have to wait for Saturday.

I thought he sounded much more upbeat than his last interview. He’s not going to come out and say RS was a twit and he didn’t get on with him as that would be very unprofessional. He’s also not going to say the players aren’t up to the job. As for tactics he’s not going to broadcast changes on here. I think he showed his passion for the club and I wish him well.

I didn't say he would say anything I was just putting a brief description of what he said.

I would add that there was a chap on the pitch seemingly helping with the training with a Town jacket on that I did not recognise so he may have brought in some help.

I think his selection will speak volumes, I would like to see 3-5-2.

I'd bring Geoff Bartholomew in to explain the game is played on the floor in the main

Quoted from Paul Wilkinson
I started here, and it’s always had a special place in my heart. It’s the place that gave me the chance to launch my career, and I always wanted to come back and help them out, and I want to repay them. I’m looking forward to it, it’s important that from this moment we get everybody behind us. It’s a 13-game season now, and it’s very important for us to get back on track. I’ve got the players in a very positive frame of mind looking forward to tomorrow, and we’re ready for the fight.

From the Cambridge Preview on the OS.

Sounds good to me. Let's kick on and finish the season well.
