I think we as town fans should all be backing the manager and team not protesting. Slade has moved on the dead wood and the players that don't want to be here. He's assembled an experienced organised team that will turn things round Jackson is a proven goal scorer 40 goals in 88 games for Rushden and Diamonds 04-08 shows that. All town are we and i think protesting will do more damage than good.

Nice wind up, Slade has moved on the players that did want to be here but were not wanted or in his plans or couldn't play his garbage excuse for football,he has assembled an aged team of players who are use to being relegated

The protest will fall on deaf ears at the club because of one mans control backed by yes men. The protest will tell anyone out there that the fans want a regime change. If they can negotiate buying out Fenty we move on, if they can't we are stuck with him. So Fenty how much do you want to leave the club?

I notice your posts seem to come around the time Cheltenham play us.
Strange that!

We will see how much the fans are united on this by the demonstration numbers, anything below1000 will say that the majority back the board, but anything below 500 would say it's  just the noisy hysterical minority and that would be embarrassing.

Wow! An average of 22 games and 10 goals a season! He must be outstanding. And it was only 10 years ago.

Thing is, we don't get the player that is on his way to being that goalscorer. We get the player who used to be that goalscorer, when he is on the wane. His recent record isn't up to much, and if it was, they wouldn't have let him go.

Hope he still has something to offer and can re-kindle his form from his earlier days.

This.
I would guess the majority of STH will be nowhere near it.
Regardless it will have no bearing on the management/ownership.

Typically poor logic. It says nothing of the sort. It just says that the majority don't support the act of that protest.

The wannabe traffic warden sticking Fenty out signs on my car window screen without my permission can do one as well.

The wannabe bill posters using the image of Thomas Turgoose without permission might be a tad concerned too...

Yep, good on him. Was an easy finish but it's the good strikers that are in the right place at the right time. I did say i hope he recaptures earlier form.

It was a pointless protest anyway. In the upper Findus we got a guy with a bed sheet and some spray paint thinking the whole stand would back him and when they didn’t he got abusive.
When are the fans going to realise that you need to be careful what you wish for.
Personally speaking if I was John Fenty getting this sort of abuse I would walk and call my loans in. I’m sure the 150 or so protesters can get a couple of million together to buy him out as they are all intelligent people who would know how to run a football club right ?

It was pointless in that it will not achieve anything in the short term, of course it won't, only money will do that.

The protest however is quite legitimate and long overdue. It is almost as pivotal a moment as Mr.Fenty being carried shoulder high from the pitch at Bournemouth for doing the quite remarkable job of masterminding avoiding relegation to non league. He learned a lot from that and the very next season..we got relegated to non league.

GTFC will be here long after John Fenty has left. It has been in worse places before, and in much better places in its long and illustrious history, but it will not be in Fenty's shadow forever.

You are absolutely right, Joe Nobody, has got no cash and got no idea how to run a football club. I just hope we get some football fortune to get us out of non league next season where we can blow smoke up the board's bottom for more great management decisions.

Never heard of the silent majority then.

Your thinking is the same as that clown David Camoron who thought all those anti-EU were a hysterical minority.

My attitude to Fenty is changing, not because I think he is the right man for the job, I still don't simply because of his temperament but I'd rather he was there in some capacity as I believe he is basically a half decent if domineering bloke.
He needs football people around him (get rid of Steve 'Shut up' Marley - there are lots of old past-it accountants around who with the aid of a calculator can still 'do' the books and old solicitors and racehorse owners) Get people with proper football nouse who is he prepared to listen to. Get a good PR man on you go

Fitst job for the new look Fenty - change the manager NOW before its too late (I haven't changed my attitude towards Slade thats for sure)

I saw him from the main stand, all it did where we sat was raise a smile because at first it was upside down! And having half a sheet of a4 paper with Fenty out is hardly a protest.

Has he shown any inclination of listening and learning up to now Swin? Why do you think he's going to change now? I mean he'll need to change his outlook if he's going to make the changes you suggest.

No he hasn't but I can't believe that he wants to sever his connections to his beloved club. I think he wants to be rid of all the toxic stuff from the fans and perhaps he can do that by surrounding himself with people who know what they are doing thus saving him from making more intercourse ups for which he will be further pilloried.

I'm certain he doesn't really want to go and we should look very carefully at what it will be like when he does. He's no idiot (although its difficult to see that sometimes) hes just stubborn and set in his ways and thinks he has the ability to totally control everything at BP, I have no problem with the control bit (he owns the club after all and someone has to be) so long as it is controlled correctly with better decisions football-wise, better PR, more openness - its really not that difficult

In a pm I expressed how much the club needs professional PR and how valuable they could be to the club. He isn't interested, as he has previously stated the club does it's PR on the pitch.
