A truly sad story that is often repeated and one of the root causes is the all too lenient sentencing. We have too much traffic on the roads and now is the time to give life bans to drink / drug induced drivers. Death by dangerous, drunk/ drug induced or reckless driving should be raised to 20 years for each death caused.

Driver was a 15 year old kid so no chance of a more stringent sentence (and I'm not sure there should have been for somebody of that age). Terrible tragedy for the families.

So what is there to say about the passengers who joined him in stealing the car (especially the two 24 year olds)? Were they not guilty (only they got 'life' as their sentence).
