Football attracts dickheads and if you increase your support as they have, the more dickheads you get. Same at all clubs i'd imagine.

Happens everywhere. The price you pay for success is sadly that you start to attract the knuckle draggers who want to use football as a vehicle for their anti-social behaviour. Quite why they think being at a football match makes it acceptable is beyond me but then I've got more than one brain cell. We have more than our own fair share of dickheads who don't seem to turn up when we're not doing very well or we're not playing a localish team.

Throw in an away day in London as well and you have the perfect storm for such behaviour. Bet there wasn't anyone under 30 involved?

I’m sure it’s no more representative of the Gimps that our idiots are of us.

Exactly, no point in getting on our high horses about this, we all have our fair share of idiots. Shouldn’t tar the Lincoln fans who did stick around their club through their own non league nightmare with the same brush.

And our fans are the best behaved of them all? - with the most banning order, rampaging in Sheffield, attacking own fans on the way home  etc. Drop the indignant tone as some of our "fans" are just as bad if not worse

Interesting that there was almost universal condemnation of the behaviour from the posters on there.
The Imps fans at Peterborough last night were fine..

Anyone else seen / read this?

https://staceywest.net/2018/01/21/on-reflection-barnet-behaviour/

I'd say there are some parallels with not just us but quite a few teams where there's a "perfect storm"

Stewards inciting bad behaviour, selfish "fans" doing what they want and police just standing by with their photographic equipment....

Reminded me a bit of our trip to Burton ( though the stakes were obviously a lot greater that day, which led to an even more intense afternoon )

I’d change our current situation for all of that atleast we can weed out the idiots ban them and push for promotion.

Ha Burton a day everybody predicted about a Month prior yet nobody in authority acted to prevent.Strange day and a massive amount of banning orders for very little which probably resulted in some serious back patting for the guys with the camera`s.

A lot of the complaints on twitter were about people not sitting in their allocated seat. I know that really you should sit in the seat you have on your ticket but we seem to self police this happening or just use common sense. Maybe they’re just not used to having big followings yet?

You say that LH but at Notts County there was a bloke complaining to the stewards for about 15-20 minutes about not him and his mates getting the seats theyd' paid for, which had the potential to turn a bit nasty

His argument was that they had asked for a block together but they'd been taken so were demanding the stewards sort it out

I might have had some sympathy if he'd been pushing for this before kick off but they all came in 10 minutes after kick off so expecting a row of seats to have stayed empty was a bit ambitious

To be fair to the Notts stewards they were quite diplomatic.....something that those at Barnet seem not to have been

Surely the stewards if asked should insist on those not in their correct seats moving, you have allocated seats on a plane but, do you just sit anywhere? Also as I cannot stand for a whole half I expect to be able to sit and not have my view obstructed by people standing in front. Would people pay for a seat at the cinema or theatre and stand through the whole show?
