Our attendance at home is currently around the 3k mark. Over the last 3 or 4 years we have always travelled well. If we was challenging for the playoffs and a Mr slade wasn't in charge id like to think we would take 800-1000 mark. I think 280 on Saturday other people thoughts plz

Don't know how many going but I cancelled my hotel two weeks ago as I have lost faith in the club. Sorry but suspect I am not alone.

Itll probably be a bit higher as the London exiles who haven't seen the complete misery of recent weeks will still turn out. Hopefully we'll produce a Swindon at home or Accrington Away type performance for them.

How sad this is. Not that long ago when Grimsby played away. The club at home would be arranging extra stewards police etc for the massive expected away following. Very very soon it will be one man and his dog.

I am a “London/southeast  exile” and I can tell you I know a lot of other exiles will not be attending the Colchester game due to our total lack of faith in Slade and the  complete inability to produce a winning football team that entertains. Not prepared to waste my money on him

I had planned to go to this earlier in the season but given my lack of funds and the knowledge that if we concede early then the game is over, I just can't risk wasting that money and an afternoon. Sad really that it's come to this. Even when we've been bad before, you always at least had the hope of a good performance or game. We don't even have that now.

Two of us were going and were staying over; hotel cancelled.

We booked months ago.

Can't face it.

I'm going because I'm GTFC.

Plus I might be able to say I was at the last game Russell Slade managed at GTFC. ;)

I've pre booked cheap trains and hotel which aren't refundable.
I look at it this way, it's a weekend away probably spoiled by the football.
If I end up leaving at half time so be it.

You're going because you've always gone and it's really the only thing going on in your life. You'll buy season tickets and go to away days with the rest of the fan club like every season. There are people who really don't have much left but the football; many of them elderly and that makes it sadder what's happening.

I guess it's more the social aspect, getting out on a day trip and having a few pints that's the real appeal. Watching a team with no morale, run by people who don't care because they lost their passion for football ages ago sure isn't.

No more than 200 Town fans I reckon. If Slade was in charge and playing half decent football I could see around 400 going. If Slade had been sacked I'd see 600 odd. If we was flying high and Slade was gone well over 1,000. Sad really. Just incase they're reading, it's not just about the success on the pitch (although winning obviously helps!) it's the way we portray ourselves on and off the pitch and lack of footballing effort and keeping the ball down.

From what I’ve seen it’s not the mythical hoof ball from slade that’s putting me off . It’s the fact that he signed a load of W.ank and between him and fenty continually try to bullish..it the fans with p.iss poor spin and when they fook that up they completely embarrass the club . This has rubbed off on the players who look like they are totally down spirited that then leads to a losing run like they’re on now .

Princes Risborough Mariner not going, so i can't be arsed either. feel a bit guilty, but it will save me £50. sad that it's so quickly got to this state.
will watch Aylesbury United instead, cheaper, closer and more fun

Chairmen, owners, managers and players come and go but the club will always be in my heart and I cannot accept that anyone who calls him/herself a supporter can hope his team loses.

What change do people want before they will support their club? Change of manager? Winning run?

For me it is in the hands of the manager. Just want him to send his teams out to win & entertain. I don't believe we play hoofball at all but what we do play is cautious and boring with players who are devoid of confidence and belief.

Nice 2-0 away win tomorrow coming up

Seems there were quite a few more than predicted on here. Many fishy posters stayed away but still a decent 350ish following for a 3 hour+ trip

Hopefully a bit of divine inspiration can help us out of the mess we're in!

Absolutely fantastic effort from the away supporters in that number. Huge respect to those that went, especially those long distance travellers and in the wider context of the current situation around the club.

Probably between the two I reckon I said 250 to Swin Jnr.

Thoroughly enjoyed the game BTW (but then I dont have to suffer it every week!) Thought Town played some good football, on the ground to feet, especially in the first half and if we had 3 by half time it would not have flattered us. Caught cold straight after half time for the equaliser but evenish after that with chances at both ends (possibly more for Colchester) Certainly a better performance than last season at the barest coldest inhospitable uninspiring atmosphere-free ground I have ever been to.

Hope they make very large car parks at our new place, like theirs on the edge of nowhere (if it ever happens) at £6 to park (about 1000 cars yesterday I reckon) and no alternative street parking its a good source of income

Didn't get to see Fenty outside for our 1:1 chat, it was flipping freezing and pissing it down so couldn't be arsed to wait - maybe I'll PM him again  ;)

Officially 336, so maybe not quite as many have given up as reading the fishy would have you believe ;)

These edge of town stadia always seem to suffer from one road in and out. Small crowds but big delays at: Wycombe, Colchester, Yeovil for example. Of course we would never make the same mistake.

I cannot think that Colchester have anything to gain by inflating the away attendance so I'd go with the official figure.

There was a massive car park a 10 min walk away over the A12 at the P&R,  £2 and pretty quick away. Agree we played better just wondered if not being at BP helped, was Fenty there thought he' be keeping is head down, I know I would if I was him.

To be fair to him he doesn’t hide.

He’s always ready to go 10 rounds. 😉

I did not go but was going until the Doctor at the Hospital damaged a blood vessel in my eye a few days ago,

So I could not drive the short distance,

Never mind hope to see us win at Cambridge if I can make it.

Any news on when they will do your knee?

Hope to see you same seats at Cambridge next month

I knew about that mate but it was a freezing cold wet afternoon and over the A12 is not exactly Manchester St or even Brereton Avenue! I think having large parking around a ground especially one thats out of town is a great idea, sodomist the housing, ice rink and practice pitches. Make Peakes Parkway a huge £10 a time car park.

That's what I am afraid of - I don't want to be walking anywhere near a road when Fenty's £80,000 motor comes along just in case!
