Asante not ready. Not much happening on player movement. Too expensive apparently. Season is dying on it's ar$e.

"Too expensive" - we've already spunked a bit chunk of the budget on shite players.

Still shopping in the bargain basement then - so much for last week's statement.

Sorry, i should have said "over inflated". Don't want to get myself into trouble.

Relegation is "expensive".

Lowlights for me from that package;

when discussing Asante ... " no, no, he is still away, wasnt playing ,in training , we will have a look.. "  not a single positive in the whole reply.  Looks like we wont be seeing him again

when discussing new recruits ... "its a process , inflated prices, competition for the same players, easier in the summer" ..... either superb at poker or we really aren't going to see anymore incoming...

when discussing team or tactic changes....."thing is if you want to change it has to be for the better ".......ermmm 4 losses on the bounce, hardly a shot on goal in any of them, leaking poor goals...could it get much worse ?

As previously stated....hardly awe inspiring....clinging for mid table mediocrity at best.

Give the man a break FFS.

How can he possibly organise trials for new players during the season proper.
To be honest, I don't know how all these other clubs manage it.

I presume that's how all clubs evaluate potential signings isn't it ?  :-/

Of course, don't want the club to waste money but I'm not sure how the 'Too Expensive' comment weighs up against the cost of where we are probably going to end up if we carry on with our current trajectory. For me we should be pushing the boat out for safety at the moment.

The current lack of movement is concerning - people don't want to move here or could it be aren't inspired by the thought of playing for Russ and Wilco?

I'm worried and it's going to be a long second half of the season.

If 'easier in the summer' gives us Hooper, Kelly & Dixon.....

Its better to get no one than get another average player on a 2 year deal,

Maybe some kind championship club will take pity on us and loan us a good player,

They will pay his wages and we will feed him on peanuts.

I'm going to be so angry if we sleepwalk our way back into the National League which is looking a real possibility. We need a striker and a left back minimum and preferably some pace added to the squad. If that means paying slightly more than we would have done then so be it, the board said they were going to back this manager so they should pay up. As long as the right players are bought then it doesn't matter so much if we're paying more than we'd like. It will cost a lot more long term if we do nothing and get relegated. It's clear that this current manager can't get anything out of our squad at the minute, barely even a goal, so if you stick with him after a run as abysmal as ours then at least try to improve the situation with signings.

I`d rather he did not panic buy like he did in the last window,  the Derby lad shows promise in his first match for us and failing a Miller type player go for a good loan players to see us safe

If only Hooper, Dixon and Kelly were average! Bang average would be 10 times better than they've given us.

Just a thought, if Mr Fenty keeps employing managers on a 6 month rolling contract why doesn't he do it with players, if their shite then not stuck on 2 year deals.

I still don't want any more decisions from JF regarding spending the club's money or increasing its indebtedness to him if the funds aren't there..

I still don't want Slade to enter the transfer market on behalf of GTFC ever again..

I still don't want Slade to make poor decisions on good players and poor decisions on poor players..

I still don't want Slade to manage another game on behalf of GTFC ever again..

I still don't want GTFC to continue to act as bottom feeders in every aspect of its day to day operations ever again..

I still don't want GTFC fans to have to hope that mid-table League Two is the best we can hope for with twenty games left in the season ever again..

Somebody out there.. please, please, please, make it all stop..

So
Kelly Dixon woolford cardwell hooper all signed by RS I think
Osborne Asante Bolly McAllister Clements either left or not playing for whatever reason
Clifton and A Rose never ever given a chance
S Jones (our star) Zak and Collins seemingly becoming bad players right in front of our eyes (Collins was a Bloomin rock)
It only screams one thing to me
We need a change and we need it sooner rather than later Overall it’s not good business is it
Not only are we crap on them pitch it would appear we are crap of it to
We have gone backwards and the board must see this
Come on Town!!

I'd be hugely disappointed if we signed him. He was way off the required standard last time.

Too expensive and over priced is the market we are now in because you Sladeball copulated up during the summer in bringing in players who are either not trying, not good enough or can't play the system you are instructing them to do.

Fenty you brought Sladeball in and have made a statement in backing him unequivocally so you and your yes men better start showing us the proof or you, your yes men and Sladeball take a long walk off Cleethorpes pier, preferably at high tide.

No movement because nobody wants to come here to work with that clown!! It’s not about prices, it’s about you.

Interesting on Twitter that one of the players liked a comment regarding him leaving! I think it’s much deeper rooted than just us fans!!

Wake me up when this nightmare is over!!!!

Bang on. Just  go through those words again. Then again. You can almost sense him shrugging as he talks, almost see him staring off at a distant point, looking bored to bring the interview to an end because he doesn't care.

Get rid of him now, HE JUST DOESN'T CARE.

The only break I would give him is a permanent one away from GTFC!
FFS he had the last four games of last season to evaluate our squad. He also had a full summer to organise trials, target who he needed and produce a squad for a " top seven finish ". His summer signings were nearly all no where near good enough, his tactics have been very predictable and similar to how he set up last time he was here and now he comes out with a load of tosh about target players being too expensive. There are many teams above us in the league who's playing budgets are less than or comparable to ours so who's to blame for the squad we have ? Yes, The Nearly Man , and to think that some fans were actually pleased to see his return.

I agree and the cynic in me thinks Slade`s exit is planned in this way so we have no time to get players in thus saving the board money. It`s time we had a full boycott it`s not just Slade it`s the board as well we need rid of.The Trust board member needs could propose a vote of no confidence in the Chairman BUT no we haven`t got one very clever that John. That deprives the fanbase a voice to challenge this board on a lack of action so unless someone can point out another way it`s going to take a boycott from attending to ram the point home.I also predict barring them getting a decent Manager in ST sales will fall by upto 50%.
