Brown, 58, took over in March 2013 and led Southend to promotion from League Two via the play-offs in 2015.
But a club statement said "this season, to date, has been a disappointment", with seven defeats suffered in their past eight League One matches.
Its a shame we haven't got a Board who think the same after them defeats. But I,ll give him some credit, hes had good times in management.

I reckon Southend might look at Cowleys as they are from Essex
Division higher as well

I think when they leave Lincoln they'll go somewhere bigger than Southend. Maybe Southend will go after Slades instead? ;)
