No doubting Slades still with us tomorrow and for the rest of the season if he is, I know its time and time again people have mentioned it but I think a demo must be required in the findus car park (so its not affecting any players) just solely that our voice is heard that we've had enough of Slade and co and to get answers as to why he is still apart of GTFC. Its our club and we need to defend it so I think the majority of us should stick together and do it instead of creating thread after thread on here about ifs, oo's and arr's. 2:30pm Findus Car Park, Luton!

What do you really think a demonstration would achieve. A gate of just over 3,000 tells the hierarchy all they need to know. The club know how a large element of the Support feel they just choose to be obstinate and ignore it.

If there was any form of demo it would just bring the mood down even further which the players will surely sense.

Is there not enough coming from the fans inside the ground that worse. A demonstration, no argy bargy, just a voice of opinion and hopefully to get fenty to come out and listen to what we have to say. Its gutting me that I aren't attending Grimsby games and that Im only voicing my opinions on a forum. So therefore I think the next step is to rally around and get it going. You don't have to be involved pal, your choice like my choice is to do this!

I don't think it'll achieve anything but at this stage I can't see it doing any harm.

And if it did achieve anything, the problem would come if the board did resign. Disappointingly there doesn't seem to be the appetite (at least on here) for a Trust takeover. There seems to be a lack of self-belief - John Fenty seems to have cornered Grimsby's quota of self-belief.

I think it would achieve something if you've got 200 town fans lurking in a car park asking for his head and I mean literally his head on a stick haha.

Any one thought that some  maby most would welcome  [secretly]  slade going, as he is helping to ruin them as players. and a team  :-/

I'll try and have a word with Fenty outside the directors entrance next Saturday. We had a brief chat last season about the Mighty Mariner fiasco amongst others before the strode off in a huff perhaps I'll have more success asking why he hasn't sacked the bald one (but don't hold yer breath)

How many nanoseconds do you think you'll get in the 'great man's' presence Swin?

I spoke to him at half time versus Morecambe I politely said “John this is rubbish” he nodded looked at me and said “ yes I know” I then said “ we pay hard earned money to come here” his response? “ yes I know” then he scuttled down the steps for a half time hob knob no doubt.

So he knows it’s sh1t on and off the pitch but refuses to do something, oh no sorry wait a minute he sends an open letter justifying poor performance.

So demo or a quiet polite word face to face he simply does not and will not get it.

Depends how far from the doorway I join him. Bit like some poor sod reporter running alongside some slippery Frof or Kraut MEP trying to get a comment re Brexit

This in spades.

I stayed behind after the fans forum and spent 15-20  mins speaking to him and Marley.  Two things became clear.

1. John has developed a bunker mentality and either will not or genuinely can not listen to anything he perceives to be negative.

2.  Steven Marley is 100% a ‘yes’ man.

Protests will make no difference whatsoever. The only thing that will register is empty seats and unfortunately the bi-product of that is a smaller budget.

Gentlemen. To put it bluntly. We are fukked 🙁

I'd agree with the bit in bold but also think he's paralyzed by fear, a fear of criticism.

I'd also agree that we are "fujjed"

After conversing with him in a couple of Pm's he made it clear he isn't taking on board other people's opinions as he knows what he is doing and what he is doing is right in his opinion.

The mistake was giving Slade such a good contract. Will cost hell of a lot in payoffs which we can't afford. J.F.made the mistake and more than likely knows this but what can he do. He and the board will be hoping some miracle happens but I can't see it happening while Slade is here. I just wish J.F. could meet him on the stairs.Slade must have a thick skin -he's got J.F. fked, the board fked, the supporters fked and even the players fked. Everybody is fked unless he does the decent thing.  Do it Slade FFS

If that is true the payoff is affordable.

If that’s true, not paying it off could end up as the most expensive decision in the history of the club.
