A chance to win 3 football league games in a row for the first time in nearly 10 years!

I see they have only 5 subs listed on the BBC. A moneybags club like that with only 5? Two Colinses in their team too. Could get confusing on the wireless.

They have the weirdest formation and set up ive ever encountered! Jones must be off pennos now, but so so comfortable for town
Posted by: toontown, December 9, 2017, 3:54pm; Reply: 18
No way jones should be on penalty duty, sorry but that's poor management even allowing that. Plenty of time for them to have intervened to insist on Davies. Jones is my favourite of our strikers but he is a bit out of sorts and wasn't even looking lively for the rebound. Anyway rose was and the worst team I have seen this season are down to 10 so things are looking up! Very entertaining half, town In complete control

Maybe it's a bit churlish to say, seeing as he saved it, but I think the keeper should do better really, given how bad the pen was.

Bollocks, Jones hits the inside of the post
Posted by: Mariner47, December 9, 2017, 4:17pm; Reply: 25
Shocking pen. I agree the keeper should have done better but well done to Rose for the reaction.

Slade to a tee, can't believe we want to hang on against a team at the bottom with 10 men but 3 points is 3 points if it pays off

Is slade telling them to drop deep or are FGR actually doing well with  10 men ?
Posted by: Abdul19, December 9, 2017, 4:53pm; Reply: 35

We can be the dirty away team next week; winding up the locals, kicking everything that moves and coming away with a 1-0 win. :)

Pleased with the win, but what a struggle.. we play like riding a bike up hill with the brakes half on

Next two weeks they should be able to play with the pressure off.... maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised.

I take it you was looking at all the fans in the Osmond behind the goal?

They were all Town fans.........the Forest Green supporters were sat towards the corner.

Think they did there homework on Jones they delayed the penno being taken for ages. Jones was walking away from the area trying to stay focused but it never worked.

It affected him badly the rest of the game I think all the strikers will be kicking themselves it really was a "fill ya boots up son" type game.

The shots on target proved that but the choices were not the right ones after opening them up numerous times.

Jones was desperately unlucky hitting the woodwork and some may say greedy but I did not mind that, he did drop his head and looked disappointed at the end but you don't need to be taking pennos Sam concentrate on bagging up in open play it will happen.

Still think him and Matt are a good combo but with Cardwell and Vernon on the bench Slade as plenty of options.

Slade confirmed that Ben Davies was and is our main penalty taker. Jones shouldn't have taken it and won't be taking anymore, which will 'take the pressure of Sam', Slades words.

I think I'd be more worried if Sam didn't want to take a penalty.

Sounds like he might have a character trait a bit similar to Omar's. You know when he used to get frustrated when something didn't work it would adversly affect his game.
