Who’s available? I agree that slade needs to go now. He’s had a lot of time to sort it and we’re getting worse. Another 3-4 game run like this and we will soon be in a battle at the bottom!

So does fenty. If slade goes, fenty goes - given the dodgy way slade was hired. As in, fenty sacked bignot to give his mate a job.

Fenty needs to go and slade needs to go.

Boring, rubbish.

We’re in trouble and fenty/slade have lied to us.

Sorry to say this but although today was a better performance than recently I am not going to go Tuesday and sit through another 90 minutes of just hoping we might score. We are slowly heading for a relegation battle after Christmas, let's just hope that their are 2 teams worse than us at the end of the season.

It feels like we have spent ten seasons going absolutely nowhere, except down and back up again to where we started. Fooking Groundhog Day.

It's not just us, football is fooked. Full of organised sides, opta stats, strength and conditioning coaches, nutrition experts and zero entertainment. Carlisle were just as sh1te as we were and it was completely mind numbingly boring to sit through.

Slade has to go. The players he brought in are rubbish in the main but someone else could do no worse. Certainly Slade should not be given the window. Hopefully the new manager should be given a big war chest from the directors, the fans deserve better.

This was the 4th home game without a goal, or 360 minutes of mind numbing hoofball.

The last  time we scored (in the league), was 26th Sep v Colchester when it ended up 2 2.

The last time we won in the league was 16th Sep when we beat Yeovil 2 1

It's not going to happen is it? JF would not tell us the details of the Slade contract, which suggests it's almost certainly the biggest and longest in our history. How much more would it cost to right yet another wrong and admit another mistake?

Even if he did go, would we get a new appointment right? Even then, we are stuck with yet another batch of crappy journeymen players on 2 year contracts. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

He will have to appoint a manager who can get more out of what we have than Slade does.
We have some flipping dross here but we have some decent players for this level and used in a more positive way would keep us in this league because the way we are going we will be relegated and never come back.

There were not many more than the season ticket holders there today, so the income for the season is now set in stone almost. Doesn't matter if me and the three regulars i attend with go or not, as we are all ST holders.

I honestly think it does matter only a sub 3k league gate will start to hit home that the fans are being driven away.

Could we dip below that on Tuesday? The only way out of this is a really hard hitting shock to the system.

If the season ticket holders do not attend it will not impact on finances but send a very clear message about next years season ticket sales.

It won't hit financially until the end of the season, but it may be too late by then as we could be back in the wilderness. I keep thinking about York and what happened to them. I'm sure they thought they were doing the right things when they got back into the league.

I think the crowd will be well down on Tuesday anyway. My brother reappeared today, first time since Lincoln. He won't be back Tuesday.

I can't see us being relegated but I do think people should not go Tuesday as much as I hate to say it. I think we need to give a clear message and for those who are going to take banners etc. We need change. Unless Slade is going to try change the way we play and give DJ more game time and bring Jones back in

Stephen Marley and Philip Day have got professional skills to offer the club if there was a new owner.

I think there are quite a few fixtures in other administrative departments of the club that have been there too long. A broom could be used there to good effect. Too many people too comfortable in their roles and it shows. Whether any of them have the ability to change out of the shadow of JF is a different matter..

We are stuck in a rut. The past two appointments have openly been on six month rolling contracts but apparently the salary of the bald man in a cap is irrelevant. Either he is on a week to week contract that we do not wish to disclose or as we all now suspect, he is on at least a 3 year contract.

The only way this club can progress is to build a team that consists largely of saleable assets. Exeter do this well and Scunthorpe established themselves in League One/Championship doing just that. Ultimately we need more players like Osborne, Jones, Dembele and DJ opposed to people like Matt, Clarke and Woolford.

Every team needs a little bit of experience but the majority of our squad is just here to pick up a wage and will probably drift out of the league after their current deal ends.

DJ has signed an extension at Norwich. Mills has potential as do Wright , Cardwell, Clifton , Akeem Rose and Kilip. Put Wilko in temporary charge, pay off 5/6 useless and fringe players and sign a proven scorer. NEVER start Hooper or Vernon together again. Send Matt back.

Quite unlike me to want a manager gone but I can’t see things changing any time soon (pun not intended).
He just doesn’t get anything right imo.
His team selection usually leaves everyone scratching their head from the off.
Subs when they come are just as confusing. The best player will be the one to depart. The guy you thought would be coming off will complete 90 minutes.
Literally the only ways he can see to influence a game will be to swap the wingers or like for like subs.
Basic coaching is poor. Why do we now have all 11 players in the box to defend corners?
Terrible calls for set piece takers. This is one that drives me mad in particular. As I’m sure we’re all well aware now we struggle for goals, so we really need to capitalise here. Ben Davies has one of the best deliveries in the league and has done for years. He can’t get anywhere near a set piece yet Dixon and Woolford are allowed to continue their dross clipped balls straight on to the head of the first defender.
I will never boo the guy because I can’t see the point but he looks massively out of his depth. Time to go, RS.

30 pro's in the first team squad I'm sure I read. How many of them would you call 'good players' at this level?
Half a dozen maybe ?!? Tops!

Our problems start there and get worse...

First bit on bold - How do you know? None have a league start between them.

Second bit in bold - We can't score clearly having a former top flight striker at the club is not working, why promote him?

Lose some more dead wood, sack tem both, get a new manager and add at least one striker, probably someone who is scoring in non league as anyone else who has any league form would avoid us like the plague.

Do you think he selects the team and the tactics? hes brought in a couple of lads that arent bad. just saying that he probably wouldnt use the same tactics etc.
He has after all been in and around the championship now for a number of years so must have picked up a thing or two.

I genuinly think its slades dinosaur tactics thats the problem, intercourse we may be world beaters in training but gash on matchday due to how the manager sets us up.
Players arent getting the chance like Mcallister, tombola, clifton to name a few. mills only got a game today as dixon the donkey was unavailable.
Im sure mcallister is by far the best holding midfielder we have, far and away better than berret, with mcallister and j.osborne in the middle would be usefull.

And how K.osbourne doesnt get a look in is beyond me as he surely cant be any worse than Clarke

Is he good enough? I mean look at his career history he has barely played 30 games in 4 seasons and can't seem to force his way into any team apart from a short stint in league 2 with the Dons.

....and most of that dross was brought in by Slade. I can't think of a single player that Slade brought in during the summer that has bettered the squad. Dembele has a lot of potential but isn't the finished article. Woolford, Kelly, Dixon are just not good enough or aren't bothered to put in the effort. Clarke is certainly no better than Pearson and is probably on twice the wage. Mills ( a Hurst signing ) had a good game yesterday but as soon as Dixon is available I bet he is dropped and Davies ( a Slade re-signing) moves back to right back. Slade is well past his sell-by-date and has nothing new to offer the game anymore. His tactics are so defensive and not leaving anybody up front when we are defending a corner or set piece is so negative.
Posted by: Garth, November 19, 2017, 11:52am; Reply: 50
My biggest beef with Slade is his signings, Woolford, Kelly, Hooper, Dixon, Matt are simply awful and bottom of the barrel acquisitions that are either not trying or just not good enough.

It leaves me with no confidence that he will do any better in January with a besieged Non Chairman holding the purse strings, I believe that JF will also have the same thoughts about these players and friend or no friend will be reluctant to trust his manager`s choice in the transfer market with any confidence.

The players out on loan will probably not come back, and unless we can loan a pacy striker, attacking midfielder and left back we are in for a struggle for the rest of the season

You didn’t need to be an experienced football manager to know half the players he bought in were going to be tosh. We all knew. We read other fans forums. If every single poster is telling you a player is a lazy, fooking journeyman, then guess what? They probably will be!
Posted by: Quagmire, November 19, 2017, 1:56pm; Reply: 52
The issue for me is that we keep being told to be patient, that it's a rebuilding period etc, when there was absolutely no need for the player turnaround that we had in the summer.

5 or 6 real quality players added to the squad we had could have seen us push for what JF claims would be a promotion push, instead we've brought in over a dozen!

I could understand it if we just scraped away from a relegation spot and he had his hands tied with a sqaud of no-hopers on long term deals but that wasn't the case.

Some talk of Slade needing to get rid of the dead wood - yet he is the one who has brought all of this dead wood in to the club!  We've given 2 year deals to players who are simply not good enough - it was clear how these signings would turn out if you spent a little bit of time on the forums of their previous clubs.

He has to go.

It was a diabolical decision - made by one man - and it should be up to JF to fund his mates pay off rather than saddle the club with more debt.

Adkins for me.

When Fenty appointed Bignot he stated a 6 month rolling contract was the way to go other clubs would follow suit,

Well if he has given Slade a 3 or 4 year deal then Fenty should pay him off with his own money not the clubs.

Instead of reducing the loan debt by 200k, this money should have been used to buy quality as opposed to Hooper, Woolford, Dixon and the rest of the tosh that either hasn't been used or is warming the bench.

I reckon none of those players were on the cheap as they came from league one, particularly Hooper and Dixon as we were pretty desperate at that point to get someone on board.

Speculation of course but I think our wage bill this season will turn out to be much higher than last season.

I've kept silent on this subject up till now, preferring to give Slade time , however time is now up ,its getting to the point were I dread the drive to Gy but do so in the hope that you will see what everyone else can clearly see ,but no, you insist one curbing any talent and playing donkeys who play lets see who can kick the ball the furthest, I missed the Colchester game because I was on holiday so that means I haven't seen a goal scored by us at home since 16th sept(f@cking 2 months ago)Go forth and multiply Mr Slade, you are killing my club ggrrrrrrrrr
p.s
JF grow some balls and sort this mess out or do the right thing and take a very long walk off Cleethorpes pier
