Harry Cardwell's shirt number has been confirmed as number 17.

Which confirms we are still in the market for another striker.

Wooton, Robinson, AN other.

Add to that we still need a LB, and 2 x CB/utilities, so there could be another 4 still to come in before the season starts  :)

Any further word on Tyler Walker or has that all dried up now? He went on their USA tour am I right?

With Assombalonga now gone, surely Forest will want atleast one more in before they let Walker out?

Or perhaps Harry just prefers the number 17  ;)

The number 9 shirt should've been retired after it was worn by Paul Warhurst.

Don't you mean HE should have been retired before he wore it?  ;)

I think he retired WHILE wearing it?

One season recently we went all season without a number 9.

Since it's close season, this worm may attract a bite.

Anybody know/can find out who the last 10 owners (or 20 if you're keen) of the GTFC No.9 shirt were?

My memory isn't up to it - after 48 years following Town, it makes a lot of 'wrong decade' errors now, sadly.

We've only got two centre backs so I would suggest we need two more of those. Four defenders needed.

Yep...it's the answer that makes me wish I hadn't asked the question!

2 of them were good...
In fact you might observe that we do well with a good No.9, and less well otherwise. Who'da thunk that??  :P

I could be wrong but I'm fairly sure you've missed off a certain commuter! (between North and Proudlock)

Elding was 39 I think.

He was 39 in his first season but I'm certain he took the 9 the season after (Cook was 12).

Ah yeah, I forgot he was here a second season (quite a long spell by his standards!)

Christ if that's the correct order, there can't have been many times in 2 seasons when we had a no.9 on the pitch in our first couple of years in non-league.

I think Ashcroft was the first squad number 9 which should give us the full illustrious set!
