Surprised no ones mentioned the fantastic result for rangers tonight in the first qualifying round of the Europa against the giants of Luxembourg Progress Tinnercorn .

Just proves why so many non league rejects find a place to kick start their careers in the Scottish prem .

Yeah, noticed that. Poor result. I had the game down as 'both teams to score', in my acca but they couldn't even manage that.

They could do with a complete overhaul -think they should go to Motherwell and sign Richard Tate and Craig Clay-can only be an improvement.  " Spoilt -Rich-Bigheads-Useless" are words that sprang to mind when I saw them last night.

I think reaching Europe so soon after being formed is a great achievement.

It's tough playing competitive games at the start of July. Mind you the Luxembourg season runs from August to May I think, they've probably done a better job of their pre-season.

It's a good job Rangers were only playing the 440th ranked team. Just imagine the result if they'd been playing Prestatyn Town who are 438th.

Must qualify as a "non football" thread surely ?  ;)

I think that the other team had their first win in Europe in 8 matches or 8 years.

Ever!! They had only had 2 draws and one goal since they first played in Europe in 1977!

I see Aberdeen are about to become the latest casualty, losing 3-2 on aggregate to Cyprus giants appollon limassol.

Lovely place Limassol mind.
