What I don't understand is the great secrecy going on,  when asked about rs contract why not just say russ is 6 / 12 /24 month rolling / unrolling and it is inline with league 2 managers and everyone would be happy no one wants to know the amount and likewise with mb while the mystery of his sacking is kept quiet rumours counter rumours and lies will circulate, why not just say the board has concerns or something along those lines

I was very angry with Fenty's 'non answers' to two fundamental questions that all GTFC fans have a right to exoect a proper and detailed answer
1) What were the main reasons Marcus Bignot was sacked
2) Can you pacify Chronicle readers who still feel quite bitter over the way Slade left the club

His failure to even attempt to answer those questions in a meaningful way was an insult to Nigel Lowther and thousands who pay their money each week

I have often defended Fenty on here - some of the criticism he has taken has been disgraceful - but that press conference was one North Korea would have been proud of

I also accept that perhaps there might a lot of things (legally and contractually) he can't say.

But he just brushed off those very pertinent points in a very arrogant way.

btw... very happy with Slade and Wilkinson - proven man manager and very well respected coach

Shows JF in all his 'splendour'!

You ask a question he doesnt like or challenge him and thats it, end of relationship.

It's always nice when you already know the answer to the question you're asking. Well done Nigel. ;)

Can you please enlighten us all please?

Yep, well done to Nigel for having the balls to ask but the non-response from JF was typical.
Posted by: LH, April 12, 2017, 4:53pm; Reply: 13
What I don't get was the question was directed at RS so JF could have just let him take the flak with an answer and clear the air and maybe get a few undecided fans back on side. By butting in and then ending the conference he's only made the situation more uncomfortable.

So will Nige be invited round for tea and a chat in front of the picture of the Lady with the Naked Buttocks?

Lets not trawl up the past when asked about Bignot it was only a couple of stuffing days ago John, but it doesn't stop you from churning out pages and pages from what people said months / years ago.

The contract fudge up question was directed to Slade you just made it clearer it was your fudge up last time.

The question on contract length is one fans want to hear because we don't want the Cardiff fudge up happen again because you can't make someone sign or do what you want when their contract runs out.

Great to have WIlko back.

It's the past. I don't care. It's been discussed to death.

In the days of people girl private footing around people in positions of power it is just refreshing to know there is still someone out there with balls

Should of known it was coming and expected. As a result had a better answer ready.

Every single media outlet there asked (I'm sure) the same question of both in their one on ones.

For me it would have been the first thing I'd of thought someone would of asked. A clear concise and honest answer would of probably defused this whole situation. Unfortunately it has become a talking point when it needn't have been.

Spot on chaos, I'm actually looking forward to a game of football on Friday and couldn't care less what happened 10/11 years ago. People change, people make mistakes... Whatever...

Welcome back Russ and Paul, and all the best

It was over a decade ago!!!!!

What do you want to happen? They made mistakes as we all do. Fenty thought he would be able to get a better manager when Slade "failed" and Slade thought he could get more money and a better non chairman elsewhere. It happens in football all the time. Time to give Slade our backing and see what he can do with this crop of players plus those he will sign in the summer.

Journalists are employed to ask tough questions. People in power should always be asked questions and be held to account for everything they do.

If we stop asking questions then they start doing what the hell they like because they know there will be no consequences.

I really don't like the way Fenty continues to appear to take umbrage at being asked awkward questions. These should be par for the course. He should expect them, and he should prepare for them.
