A little surprised Amond starts, but good chance for him to add to his season's tally

Seems to me that our defence suddenly looks shaky last couple of games. Sounds like their striker is giving Pearson a tough time. Of course, we have missed a couple of sitters as per and conceded a long range effort.

Interesting set of results.  Still plenty of time for Dan Holman or Danny Wright to bundle a few in. Holman must be charged up as he's back on his old stomping ground.  I bet the pitch is as good as always.

I should be overjoyed with today's win and another final at wembley, but strangely am not, am very subdued. Will I go to the final, not sure at the moment. A lot really will depend on future league and hopefully playoffs results first.
But massive credit to the whole team, podge will get the glory with his 2 goals but it takes a team effort to get through the rounds to get there.

We'd still have 4 points to make up on FGR though which is a bigger ask considering we can't affect their results.

3 points behind them if we win win games in hand and beat them. Currently 15 behind. 7 games left for them. 10 for us.

Good set of results today. Clee won 3-0 (shame 1st and 2nd placed teams won 7-1 and 5-0 respectively).

Sounds like Bognor played well but were a dirty bunch.

On our day though!

Lincoln losing to Kidderminster ;D

Some quotes from the Lincoln Echo's teaboy junior reporter Flakey from just last night;

So I pressed Power on it: "Surely, losing to a play-off rival is going to hurt the confidence?" Power was adamant: "No. We dealt with it. We have moved on."
Power was not defensive in his response and more importantly he was not tossing the words out like confetti (  ;D)

In his voice there was a grit, a focus and it was the same tone I heard when manager Chris Moyses took questions beforehand.( >:()

And here is the thing, there is something fundamentally different about this Lincoln team and it has been proved again, and again, this season.

Moyses's calls it 'the right character'. It was his key phrase when it came to recruitment over the summer. Every player he brought in had to have 'the right character'.
It was clearly still there today and I expect to see it on the pitch on Saturday against (bottom of the table)  Kidderminster Harriers.

And......
FULL TIME- Lincoln 1 Kiddy 2

Oh boy. That was John Flakey and he's here for a few seasons yet all week,

Bought a ticket for today's game but, after last week's dire game on the south coast, I decided I really couldn't be bothered to drive for 7 hours today to watch this one! However, of course I'm pleased we won and I'll attend the final on the 22nd as well as the play-off final on the 15th, whichever teams contest that one.....
