Starting XI: McKEOWN, TAIT, NSIALA, GOWLING, TOWNSEND, MONKHOUSE, CLAY, DISLEY, ARNOLD, BOGLE, AMOND

Bogle it is. Good.

You look at the lineup and wonder why we fire so many blanks. Hope Bogle is up for it, Arnold needs a good run out too.

JT just said that Hannah has been offside more than anyone in the division so far this season.  ;D

Dover should have grabbed the lead with the last kick of the half, denied by a great Macca save.

Bit same-as-usual so far.
Posted by: Maringer, December 19, 2015, 3:53pm; Reply: 12
Dover look a decent outfit but it will be interesting to see how we go with the wind behind us. Some decent football at times but our final ball has been lacking. We're not winning much in the air up front or in midfield which is making things tougher than they need to be.
Posted by: Davec, December 19, 2015, 3:55pm; Reply: 13
Bogle has been Bogle, some glimpses of quality then some moments of inexperience, Clay dwelling on the ball too long as usual, Monkhouse has been decent with ball at feet, Townsend being Townsend

Thanks chaps....need an early goal 2nd half.
Posted by: moosey_club, December 19, 2015, 3:59pm; Reply: 15
Poor half...slow..predictable...tired play....no cohesion....Townsend guilty of doing too much but others arent exactly looking interested. Dont think we had an effort on goal. Dover only dangerous from set pieces.
Need a rocket up the @rse or a sub at half time.

This and the next two games will decide this season as far as I can see . Points desperately needed no draws , squad good enough but sounds like same as usual .]we just can't break teams down . Happens too often .

15 mins left and no subs used. Great.

I'd like those who give out the red ticks to join in and tell me why they disagree.

Predictably, Towns game the only one in our league without a goal.

i expect the same old bum licks will be on here later telling us how good we are and there's still loads of games to be played ect.

This is just another copy and paste of the last 4 seasons  :-/

Sounds a poor game, I was expecting more from Town today, with other results going against us it's going to a big ask to get that top spot. :o

Posted by: Biccys, December 19, 2015, 4:50pm; Reply: 39
Despite us, not that long ago, being the highest scores in the countries top 5 divisions, I think this game is a hangover from the Shrewsbury game. The forwards haven't been firing for a little while now and the constant changing of partners for Podge can't help his game.

Not getting excited. Relief.  Dover have shown over the last two seasons that they are a good side. So not an easy one to win.

But we had to get the 3 points to stay within reasonable distance of Cheltenham. For me,1st place was a long shot before, during and after the game. Could have been worse after.

To be fair, the other top 3 leaders FGR, Cheltenham and Eastleigh have all beaten Dover recently. A hard fixture is a winnable one if you're a serious contender.

Christ on a bike - it's football: the other team do try and influence events you know.

We put in effort for the entire match and it paid off - but Dover weren't pushovers.
