Just setting off with dreams of a win today and a plum draw in the next round, which could change our fortunes. I live in hope.

Dropping Amond is a mistake. He's great at scoring against 'weaker' opponents and should start every game as he's our best striker imo. Not sure why Monkhouse is the captain over Pearson either. Would have liked to see Venney on the bench as well given we can have 7 subs and have no other recognised central midfielders available.
Posted by: chaos33, November 7, 2015, 2:57pm; Reply: 4
Yeah I agree with all of those points and was wondering the same. I'm not really sure why Monkhouse actually even needs to play given that he is supposedly playing with pain as he continues his recovery from the shoulder injury. We ought to be able to manage without him today and not inflict unneccesary suffering. Bit of a snub to Pearson regarding the captaincy. I don't mind Amond being rested so long as he returns on Tuesday night.

Buckley has said a couple of times already about Bogle being the wrong side of the defender and that they should be working on this at the club. Is Buckley involved in any way in the set up with Hurst? Would like to think that Buckley's experience and assessment of matches would be welcomed at the club.

Situations like this are where Hurst is lacking for me. JT says he's just standing there motionless on the touchline. He should be talking to the players, switching up our tactics or making subs, not doing nothing while St Albans have grabbed hold of the game.

Don't think we were poor as such. Didn't really need to get into top gear and at 2-0 we were coasting. They scored and had a little spell but we upped it again and were lining up to score by the end. Very professional is what i would call it. Liked the look of the Townsend/Monkhouse combo. Two intelligent, non flappable players.

We did what we had to do and scored 5 goals but Bogle worries me. He needs some coaching to get him to the next level and we definitely need another striker on the books.
