I have been reading lots of tweets and it seems there has been a surge of people joining the Trust since the weekend which is excellent news.

For any of you who have not yet joined please reconsider. You can help the Trust help your club.

It also puts you near the front of the queue for ticket sales whenever they become available as MT members can often get their hands on tickets before they go on general sale. Normally in a season there are a few away games or stands that completely sell out to Town fans.

I will be joining next month.

I think since the Mariners trust has been on the board, things have improved, such as the relationship between fans and club, for example. And I dare say that the more members the trust have, the bigger the financial backing and ability to improve things even further(?).

Because I believe the Mariners trust has and does make a difference, and believe that I ain't the only one who believes so, I have shared the link to the Mariners trust website on GTFC's black and white army, for anyone else who maybe interested in becoming a member.

Anything to help the progress of the club I have become rather attached to over the last 7 seasons. Onwards and upwards. UTM.

I went for the cheap bottom option of a lifetime membership which will hopefully be great value as I'm 23  8).

Is there someone who could tell me when my renewal date is? BIGChris cornered me in the bar last year and threatened to break my legs if I didn't pay up.

I hope that when she is old enough to understand, you sit her down and tell her of all the pain that awaits her.  ;)

Lifetime membership sorted. Could have got it cheaper if I'd waited a couple of years though.  :)

Record spike in fans joining the Trust since Sunday:

http://www.grimsbytelegraph.co.uk/Record-spike-Grimsby-Town-fans-joining-Mariners/story-26542093-detail/story.html

Since this article was put together yesterday, loads more have joined. Think it's over 70 new members now.

Needs to be something done - campaign, offer etc to try and get as many as possible in the ground for the first home game of next season. Seems to be lots of positivity at the moment and the club and trust need to try and maintain that for the next 2 and a half months. We've never got off to a flyer in this league but if we can start well I think we might see a few hundred on the average attendance at BP from the off.

Agree.

PS did you make it to Wembley?

Agree with Rodders, living in London and family no longer in the area I find it hard to get to home games but the need build on the positivity has made me determined to get to the first home game of the season. Hopefully loads can come to really make BP a fortress this season! As we saw with our form this year it could make all the difference.

I didn't. Was just a bit too late arriving. Devastated not to be there before it started but delighted I wasn't when it finished. Will be making sure no arrivals due through March and April next year so I can be there when we win the title!

Must be virtually a 100 new members since Sunday?

Great.

Perhaps those that have joined could try and get a friend or colleague to do the same and then be active. Not saying everyone can make meetings or whatever but ask questions, give feedback, spread the word, enter free draws etc

Signed up for the first time, with any luck the surge in memberships will be in the telegraph for a while and will create a snowball effect.

Already a member but will have a word with the several of my family who watch Town. I have no idea if they are joined or not as i've never asked. Also got more time on my hands now, so will look to participate more in the future.

As a Trust member since the beginning, I am delighted that more fans are joining.  As well as increasing income, it sends out  positive and powerful messages to the Club management about next season.

Look at it this way, how much would you pay to see league football again at BP? I'd pay a lot, it means loads to me. I hate it down here, the novelty has worn off. We now have a manager (that most agree), has the ability to get us out of this league. Fans input also goes to show, that pretty much whatever happens, it's the fans club. It can't hurt to show the board, the players and the local council, just how much GTFC means to people. Together we really can all make a diiference.

Update:- Since Monday there have been 105 paypal transactions. I haven't found any that aren't membership related. I haven't got round to looking closely but I estimate at least 30 of them are multi-membership payments. We have also had new members joining via direct transfer from bank account to bank account. I reckon this means we've had the best part of 150 new/renewed members. Some of the renewals were actually lapsed so count as new :)
In the time that I've been involved with the Trust there has been nothing that has come close to this. It is absolutely bloody fantastic!

Not being funny mate, but if you can't be bothered to read the website or have a look at the countless threads on here where the Trust's activities have been discussed, why should any other frigger do it for you?
