Do we have a London South East Mariners group or get together club? Far too many of us down here not to wonder if we do. If not should we set one up?

Go for it. It's a grim exile fulfilled that role in pre internet days.We used to have some good meet ups and raised a lot of money for the youth team

What should we have it entail. I'll be perfectly honest I just thought it was a chance of a meet up and urine up and maybe buy a flag! I didn't know it could actually be worthwhile for the club as well!

Hah yes! You going round before every away match shouting "any exiles?" In what we considered then to be dark days after relegation in 1997 to what is now League 1. Oh the horror!

It only really stopped when the Trust started.

Ha! Happy days and evenings photocopying, stapling, stamping and sending out newsletters! Lot of effort but got to meet lot of good people who am still friends with 20 years on.
Just to show how things have changed, one of the main motivations for me n rob setting it up was that because we had been relegated from the championship there would be no teletext coverage of gy and we thought it wasn't right for the only other info would be those recorded premium rate club calls!
Incredible really how things have moved on so quickly in such a short span of time

We used to get together when the games were on Premier Sports and there was literally only one venue in London that had the channel :) Not so much now, but would be good.
