Today is the release day for the new town song 'Black And White (For You) by Orphan Boy.

To me we have the best fans in the world, the most loyalist fans in the world and its like a family. Being where we are can look bleak to most people and I for one think that one day we will get out of this kind of mess, but one thing that I'll always stand by is the future of the club and how important it is. So as four lads in a band this is our way of contributing to a club we love, it may not make millions or thousands but if it helps the youth then we will be happy men.

It costs 79p and all proceeds go to Grimsby Town Youth.

The future is important!

I'll be getting it, and not just as a show of support, it's a decent tune. Love the video too.

And here's the video feat. Lloyd Griffiths who works in some deft footy training techniques into his dance routine.....

I had to do a double take there...for some reason I read it as daft footy training techniques. And then again...   ;)

Quite amusing that on Saturday the club featured an article on the song in the matchday programme, its the clubs new official song etc etc, Orphan Boy darlings of the GY music scene etc... and as we left the ground.... Pisces ...Up the Mariners.. was blaring out !! haha

all town songs are good tho mosey, if they overplayed this song at every game it would get boring. One thing I will say tho we played at the awards last night and half the place emptied before we went on and no pissing thanks or a mention by anyone for what we've done and are doing for the club. typical!

That is pretty disappointing :(

Dont get me wrong, i like the tune it just made me giggle when UTM came on.
We all know the club have been useless at PR over the years so i wouldnt take it to heart, you guys have always banged the drum for the Town down the years so i am sure people will start to acknowledge that sooner or later.

Always wished you guys success since you formed, after all you took the worst gobbo mixer i have ever had the pleasure to work with away from the building game so i owe you one for that  ;)

I was disappointed in that as well, you should have been on earlier, but the whole awards were a bit of a cockup anyway.

I may be getting on a bit but you sounded very good to me, even though I spent most of the night in A&E having my ear drums repaired. ;)

Good luck with the band.

perhaps Im being a bit of harsh on the club, they have done bloody good, just was a bit gutted that it didn't get mentioned the song so the 1000 odd that was there all knew bout it and maybe could of bought the single to help the cause that its for. The band mention was too only a fair few people haha. Still was a good night and magnay cleaning up them all.

Hope we get out this league now and take bristol in the final and stuff them!

Have to say Distant Tides is a cracking tune as well. Think you guys have got some real potential to get a bit more well known on the back of tracks like that!

Pleased they did this Town song. I'm exiled abroad and had not been aware of them before. Working my way through their stuff and it's really impressive.
