But still don't know when we are playing!

Conference Play-off dates confirmed for Grimsby Town http://t.co/8430AfTDww

I reckon it'll be Weds/Sun and Thurs/Mon for each set. Which is annoying as I'd planned for Thurs/Sun last week. Maybe with all this TV money they're obviously getting bunged they can move Conference HQ out of the shed on an allotment to somewhere more suitable for a national football competition to be based and maybe even hire some competent staff. (obviously only for the benefit of whoever stays and comes down)

I hope it's something Sunday, as I can watch it then.

So if Bristol are in the playoffs we  will be Thursday monday cos they will not allow both Bristol teams to be at home on the same day. So if it is Barnet it would seem like we are going to be Wednesday Sunday  for some reason that only the men in the allotment shed  know . Cause other wise surely they would have put dates against the games like they have done for the northern and southern playoffs

Why cant Bristol OR Barnet be confirmed as Thursday/Monday

&

Town to be  Wed/Sunday??

Surely that could be confirmed now, regardless of whether Bristol are in the play offs or not?

If it is Sunday we dont want a 12.15 kick off. Think of exiles AND opposition supporters. What time would Eastleigh/FGR fans have to leave to get here?

Why do fans increasingly  come last in football?

That's common sense Chris which lets be honest this league is lacking

The highly strung person behind the Conference Twitter accounts seems to be suggesting that the 'outside issue' that have caused problems are from us.

All sounds a bit conspiracy theory to me.  I'm half expecting him to announce the involvement of The Third Man soon.

"Premier League and Football League fixtures to take into account" or words to that effect mentioned. Who have Hull, Southampton and maybe Arsenal got over that weekend?
Posted by: LH, April 21, 2015, 2:29pm; Reply: 8
Having researched it Hull are playing Arsenal at the KC on the Monday. Of course Southampton are irrelevant as they will only play the weekend and Eastleigh would be away anyway. Failing to see a problem at our end as I'm sure we've played at home when Hull have this season.

Hull are at home to Arsenal on the evening of the Monday (4th).

Simple then.  We can't play on the Monday night and are guaranteed to finish 3rd.

2 v 5 Thursday - Monday
3 v 4 Wednesday - Sunday

In fact, scrap that excrement.  When the hell have we ever rearranged a home fixture because we're playing on the same day that Hull are at home?  At sell out we'll have around 8,000 in the ground.  Is that really enough to merit crowd control measures, especially against the notoriously troublesome Eastleigh or FGR?

Crock of excrement excuses by a Mickey Mouse set-up.

Or maybe the league should've finished last weekend so the playoffs cod be this sat/sun and next sat/sun

I would say that they are waiting to see whether it'll be Bristol Rovers or Barnet in the play-offs due to Bristol City being at home on the Sunday.

If Barnet win the league then I would say that we will be away on the Wednesday and home on the Sunday but if Rovers win the league and it's Barnet in the play-offs we'll be away on the Thursday and home on the Monday.

The conference twitter account is suggesting that it is us making things difficult to announce the dates/times - not the Bristol/Barnet issue.

How on earth do they figure that one out?

If they are worried about the Hull game then surely our semi-final 2nd leg can be on the Sunday whatever happens in the Bristol/Barnet affair and their semi-final 2nd leg can be on the Monday which will avoid the clash with Bristol City if it's Rovers in the play-offs.

Isn't it that simple?

If Bristol Rovers are in the play-offs then as Bristol City play on the Sunday would that not mean that Rovers play on the Monday meaning we would play on the Sunday?

As I said on social media abs Tin Pot  3 days ago we were playing Thursday with a Sunday kick off at 4-15 .I had planned to book the train/bus to get to the game . Now we could be playing weds and or Sun /Mon  with a kick off on Sunday 12-15 ffs or mon  .If you live round the corner it's not so bad  but I live 200 miles away . That's why it will always be Tin Pot Conferance

Conference now saying they have an objection from Humberside Police!!!

Might just be easier to just promote us as champions to be honest.

If we are playing on the sunday why the hell does it have to be 12.15? Pain in the bottom for exiles!

If that's the case the police must be saying they can't cope with Hull and Town at home on the same day (Monday) so one of them needs to be changed and I can't see it being the Hull game! In which case Town on the Sunday which would suit the Bristol Teams.
The conference really don't care one bit about the fans, something that was set in stone as Wednesday/Sunday for one semi and Thursday/Sunday for the other can suddenly get changed at such a late stage not taking any consideration for fans who have changed work or booked trains etc. Another example being Lincoln v Eastleigh last weekend changing the kick off time with 6 days notice.

I did a blog on this for the Trust a few days back, but even my blog was out of date as soon as i wrote; the situation is ever-changing!    I don't see any excuse for this uncertainty; all very avoidable. If nothing else, they shouldn't have announced the dates and then unannounced them the way they did.     Agree with the post above; it shows a lack of respect for fans; there's not an apology, just an announcement like a statement of fact; its still up in the air  :-(

Dates and times to be confirmed tomorrow

Conference tweeted that the only sticking point re the announcement is between GTFC & the local police.

Now in my world the job of the police is to protect people at events not stop them going ahead. Would a Sunday afternoon or a Monday afternoon fixture  really mean a break down in law and order??

I just can't understand the problem. In the past we had much bigger crowds and they went ahead as planned plus the police acted accordingly. Am I missing something is there some neo nazi march planned for that weekend?

My guess is that they're not happy about a 4:15 kick off on bank holiday monday. I think they're going to move it to 12:15 which doesn't bode well for me as I won't be able to get away from work as early as that. Very frustrating.

Good luck in the play-offs whoever you face. I'm sure you will come up trumps and succeed.

Hopefully we can conquer our own play-offs fear. We face Spennymoor Town on Wednesday in a one-legged semi final with the final a week today.

5 times a charm maybe?

Up the Town. Up the Darlo.
